Today is my June 26th, the day of Ahmi's grandpa's celebration of life, which honestly was just a big ass cookout because her grandma knew basically the whole city.
Ahmi was in her room getting herself together as Naomi and Janessa where in the kitchen cooking along with some of her friends one being Laurie.
"Where's Ahmi?" Janessa asked Naomi as she prepped to make her famous baked Mac and cheese.
"She's upstairs getting dressed ma" Naomi told her seasoning 6 big ass racks of ribs. Her mom hummed in response and yelled Ahmi's name prompting her to come down.
She had on light makeup and her lashes done as well as soft pink short square nails, she had just got both done earlier today at a nearby shop, only because she wanted to scope out the competition.
She also had on a cute little outfit she just put together, something simple but cute.
"Ke'Ahmi" She yelled out
"Huh?" The young lady called out to her grandma whose eyes couldn't stop scanning her outfit."That's what you're wearing today sweetheart" she asked her. "Um yeah?" Ahmi replied back in a questioning tone. "You look cute Ahmi Mami" her mom said.
" thank you mommy, I'm gonna go make sure everything is set up and running outside" she told her mom then walking towards the door to check on things outside.
"Now Nae, you know that outfit is too much" Janessa told her daughter making a slight face at her granddaughters shorts that showed her butt.
"I know momma, I'm not the biggest fan of the way she dresses but she's just now starting to gain her confidence back after all that shit, so I'm just letting her be." Naomi told her sighing
Naomi definitely noticed that after the incident with her dad Ahmi's confidence was at an all time low, what she didn't know about was the situation with Kayden made it worse.
Ahmi was always very confident in her beauty but after that day, after those situations she didn't feel pretty, she didn't feel she was enough, in any way shape or form.
