Hanni fell asleep beside Minji while they were watching the sky.
Minji carefully sat up, trying not to wake the girl sleeping peacefully beside her. She gazed at Hanni's peaceful sleeping figure and held her hand.
With a gloomy expression on her face, she mumbled the girl's name. "Hanni."
"Kill me."
As soon as those words left from her mouth, a tear fell down from her eyes.
Minji knew what kind of tomorrow awaited them. She understood the fact that no matter what they did, it would be useless, as they were fated to fall apart.
___________________________________________3 days later..
Hanni woke up inside the cabin's room. She quickly stood up and wandered around, wanting to see Minji, to talk to her.
Or perhaps she just missed her.
"Kim Minji went somewhere. She won't be back until noon." A familiar voice said, catching Hanni's attention.
"Yujin? Where did she go?" Hanni asked, noticing Yujin sitting in a chair, sipping a cup of coffee.
"I don't know. She just told me to watch over you." Yujin responded.
"I'm not a kid."
"That's what I told her, but you know, she insisted." Yujin responded with a sigh.
Hanni wondered where Minji was right now and whether she was safe or in danger. She couldn't help but worry.
"She's in a safe place, right?"
"Probably. You can ask her when she gets home."
Yujin's response did little to ease Hanni's anxiety. The thought of losing Minji again frightened her.
"You don't remember me, don't you?"
"I don't even know you."
"Well, that's fine, we only interacted a few times during the days when I'm still at the academy." Yujin muttered and smiled at Hanni. "I'm the girl who has electrokinesis, by the way."
"Oh. Never saw you used that again during these days."
"Gotta save it for some reason."
Hanni paced back and forth, unable to calm down.
"Pham, you can reach her with your telepathy, right?" Yujin reminded her.
Hanni had completely forgotten about her telepathy. She hadn’t used it since she unsuccessfully tried to reach Minji's consciousness.
"Thanks for reminding me, Yujin." Hanni mumbled before heading into the room.
She focused, trying once more to reach Minji's mind with her telepathy. This time, it worked.
"Min." She called out on Minji's mind.
"Yes, Ms. Pham?" Minji asked her.
"Where are you? When I woke up, you weren’t here."
"Relax, I just went to work."
"God, Minji, are you working?"
"Well, I need money to purchase things, don’t I?"
"Minji, you’re safe there, right?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Okay."
"I love you, Minji."
"I love you too, Pham."
"And Hanni, be careful, alright? I've already saved you twice. I won't be able to save you again unless I gain a healing ability or manage to copy one."
