The Magical Girl

Chapter 3 The Dream

After that Akari invited Mei and Misaki to her place to dry up and explain everything.
"I live just a few blocks away I'll explain everything when we get there. Let's get going." Akari told them. She reached out her hand to help them up.
"Oh, I should fix that cut of yours!" Akari remembered.
"No, it's fine it doesn't hurt. Mei said. Then suddenly Misaki collapsed and her vision became blurry.
"Misaki!" Both Mei and Akari yelled. Misaki was hit by the scythe on her waist when the demon held in in front of Mei, she also hit Miskai.
"Hey, Miskai hang in there!" Mei cried. But she already passed out, she lost a little to much blood. Quickly Akari held her hands over Misaki and slowly but surely she started to heal. After a while Misaki's wound was healed, but Akari used so much strength that she collapsed. She quickly got up again and Mei and Akari carried Misaki to Akari's apartment. While Akari and Mei struggled to carry Misaki, she was having a strange dream. She wasn't sure where she was but she was sitting on a chair in an empty white space that could go on for infinity. She felt guilty for leaving Yui there on the street.
"I could've helped her..." Misaki thought, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I want to be brave, I want to get stronger, so I can help others...so it'll never happen again!" Misaki said wiping away tears. Then she heard a voice of someone, but she didn't know... "Is that what you really want?" It asked.
"Wh...who are you?" Misaki asked. But they just ignored it.
"There's only one kind of person who could do a thing like that..." It told Misaki.
"Can I really do something about it?" Misaki asked surprised.
"Of corse, all you have to do is make a contract with me and become a Magical Girl! When you feel like making a contract with me, them call me!" It said. Then suddenly Misaki woke up eyes wide and breathing heavily. "
"Misaki! Your awake! Thank goodness! Mei said tears in her eyes. And she hugged her.
"Where are we?" Misaki asked.
"Oh,Misaki your finally awake!" Akari said bringing in some tea from the kitchen.
"This is Akari's apartment." Answered Mei. Misaki slowly got up off of the couch and Akari handed Mei a cup of tea.
"Want some?" Akari asked Misakki.
"Sure. I'd love some." Misaki replied. Akari poured some tea for Misaki.
"How long was I out for?" Misaki asked them.
"About half an hour, I think..." Mei replied.
"I was going to explain everything when you woke up so..." Akari said to Misaki.
"Okay, basically what you saw today was what we call Demons." Akari explained.
"What do you mean by we?
"I'm a magical girl, there are more magical girls out there with different types of magic. We are the only ones who can defeat Demons. And just like there are different types of us, there are also different types of Demons. The Demons do a terrible thing, they feast on humans...mostly ones that are weak or having troubles. And it appeared that this was your friend... I'm sorry." Akari explained.
"How did you become a magical girl Akari?" Mei asked.
"Through a dream, you make a contract with someone...but it you only see it if you really feel like risking your life for it." Akari told them.
"A dream? I just had one while I was unconscious...and a voice asked me if I wanted to make a contract with it..." Misaki said surprised.
"You had the dream?" Akari asked.
"Yeah, the voice asked me if I wanted to become a magical girl." Misaki replied.
"Oh I forgot, also once you make a contract and become a magical girl you get one of these." Akari said as she pulled out a necklace with a strange gem on it.
"This is a transformation gem it makes you transform into a magical girl." Akari explained as she held it.
"So, should I make a contract, should I become a magical girl?" Misaki asked.
"It's up to you, do you feel like risking your life to fighting Demons? This means that you won't have any time to hang around with friends or go on dates." Akari told her.
"Um... I don't really know." Misaki said.
"Well how about for now you both come with me on my next witch hunt. We'll meet up where we met. Okay?" Akari asked.
"Yeah." Mei and Misaki replied.
"You should go home now it's starting to get dark out." Akari said.
"Thanks for everything, see you tomorrow!" Mei said.
"Thank you very much for helping us." Misaki told Akari.
"See you guys tomorrow!" Akari said waving out the door. And they left, heading for home.
"Should I become a magical girl" Misaki thought as she and Mei walked down the street.
