The Remedy For Love (Escape The Fate)

Chapter 1~

(Max's P.O.V~)

I stood there with my arms folded over my chest, while I took in the scene around me. I watched while people were getting shitfaced drunk, people snorting coke and smoking pot, Freshmen girls throwing themselves at the Senior jocks, acting like hot shit whores, it's sad really...And what's sadder than that, is this is the third party my boyfriend Ronnie has dragged me to this week...Hell I don't mind going to a party once in a while, but Jesus, I know when to quit, but Ronnie doesn't..It's been this way for almost two years since Ronnie and I have been together.

I stood there and watched while Ronnie was laughing with one of his "friends" which is the same bastard who got him hooked on coke and prescription pills...I hate that asshole. He's no friend...Because of him, Ronnie changed. The first few months I was with Ronnie, he was the sweetest guy ever, he was such a gentleman to me..But now all our relationship has become, is me being dragged to parties with Ronnie, watching him get high and drunk, taking his ass home so he can sober up, and him beating me when he doesn't get what he wants...Especially when he's trying to get in my pants and take my virginity. And back to when things were amazing, I was excited to give it to him..But that was a long time ago.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm still with Ronnie...You'd think I'd know or just leave, but I can't..There's something about him that I loved, and I think it could still be there...I'm hoping it's still there, cause I do love Ronnie...He's my best friend, and I love him...I just don't love the shit he does.

I decided enough was enough, and walked over to Ronnie. Ronnie was sitting on the couch with the guy, drinking a beer, when he looked up at me.

He smiled and said "Hey baby."

"Ronnie, can we please go home now?"

He looked at me confused and asked "What? Why? We're having fun, Maxxie!"

I bit my lip and said "Yeah you are, but I'm not...Please Ronnie?"

He chuckled and said "Babe relax, we just got here-"

"We've been here for two hours..Now come on, my mom's gonna be home in a couple hours, and we've got school tomorrow."

"Look sunshine, your man here doesn't wanna leave..Either you shut that mouth of yours, or just leave."

I shook my head and said "You know what? Stay here, I'm going home. Have fun with your "friend" Ronnie, I'll see you at home."

He didn't even come after me, when I walked out of the house...Shows how much he cares. I got.the though out of my head, got back in my car, and drove home alone...And it's not the first time either.

When I got home, my mom was still gone, so I just walked upstairs to the room I share with Ronnie, and closed the door behind me. Ronnie has been living with us for almost two years now, cause his dad kicked him out..He found out about Ronnie and I, and he's a Jesus fanatic, and he kicked Ronnie out.

I changed out of my clothes and into some PJ's, before crawling into my bed, alone. Two hours later, my bedroom door opened, and I could hear someone stumbling in. I knew it was Ronnie..That and I heard him trip, fall, and cuss to himself. Then I heard him pulling his clothes off, and he crawled onto the bed, falling next to me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his chest.

He kissed my shoulder and said "I'm sorry, Maxxie."

I knew he didn't mean it, cause I know how his.voice sounds when he's lying. 

I didn't respond to him, and pretended to be asleep.

He sighed and said "I love you, Maxxie....I promise I'll do better."

Tears rolled down my cheeks, cause I knew that was a lie too...Both of them were.
