I cried myself to sleep after that, but Ronnie didn't seem to care, but what else is new? As I got redy for another day in Hell-I mean school, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist, from behind.

Ronnie kissed me on the cheek and said "Morning beautiful.

I rolled my eyes and said "What do you want, Ronnie? I'm trying to get ready, we're running late."

I turned my head and looked down to see he was still in his boxers.

"Ronnie, what the hell?!"

He looked at me confused and surprised, and asked "What?"

I pointed out the obvious, and said "You're not even dressed yet, have you even taken a fucking shower yet?!"

"Max, chill out, I'll just throw something on, get pretty real quick, andw we'll go, okay?"

"Well it doesn't help when I have to baby your ass and hokd your fucking hand every morning! I'm not your damn mother-"

"Don't talk about that bitch, she has nothing to do with us."

I rolled.my eyes and said "What I meant was you.need to take care of yourself more, Ronnie..I'm not your cook, your nanny, or your maid."

He gave me a dirty look and asked "What the fuck is your.problem-"

"Oh gee I don't know, maybe it's cause.my deadbeat boyfriend keeps.dragging me to parties I don't wanna go to, with people you claim are your buddies, whwn all they're doing is making you worse, and killing you!"

"You don't know shit Max, so shut up and drop it!"

"Fuck you!"

He slapped me hard across the face, and my.cheek was burning...He hit me...The fucker just hit me!

I held my cheek.and looked at him surprised, but he didn't seem.phased by it.

I swallowed and said "You know what? Ride the fucking.bus to school, cause I'm not taking you."

Before he could say anything, I storme out of the bathroom, grabbed my stuff and my.keys, and walked out. I got in ny car, started the engine, ans.drove off to school...All while fighting back tears the whole way there.
