Chapter 30- Marriage?

Throughout this week, I was exposed to more and more surprises and excitement. First, I am getting a boyfriend, second, I was taken to Mashussetes for treatment by my boyfriend, third, my boyfriend went public in the media and announced our relationship.

This would be like lying if I said, I hate being taken care of. I love it. I feel more safe, more loved, getting more attention, when Kim is around me. I am a clumsy person, sometimes I drop important objects off my hands, sometimes I get super shy meeting new people, sometimes I go moody for a very long time, and sometimes I become the hardest person to make an easy decision. ut Kim is the opposite of me.

Is it true that Opposites do attract each other? Never mind. Today, I am going to join the main family for the family lunch, as they have invited me over along with P' Kim. I am so excited, as well as so much anxious. Don't know why, but the moment, they said, they do mafia work, I got terrorized seeing the Theeranakul family. It is also stressing me out as I have to interact with the mafia men and even their security goons look as if committed a crime and just now returned from jail.

I have to meet my brother as well there, and it's been so long since I have met him. "Should we get something before going there?", I asked Kim, because isn't it nice to give your host some presents, when you visit their home.

"As if they don't have any!", Kim sarcastically commented. For a moment I could not understand the context of his slang, and he cleared me, up that the Theeranakuls own almost all of the industry so that we don't have to stress out.

At the main house .............

Khun Thakun greeted me, warmly while I entered the house of the main family. I saw almost all of the bodyguards stand beside him. Among them, the one I identified was Pete who looked a little stressed out. I could sense it from his face. I entered alongside Kim who drove him here.

"Chay!", I heard Porsche call me out.

"Phi!", I hugged the man before me, who was not so in a good condition. He was recovering from his injury, So he still had bruises on his face and he was limping a little.

"How are you, Phi?", I asked him and he answered me. In the middle of our conversation, I saw Kim, from the side, while he was talking with KInn and Thakun. Don't know what, too looked so stressed out. Is anything dangerous going to happen?

In the middle of our chaotic conversation, the main man of this, KIm's father's house entered the hallway along with his bodyguard, Chan.

"Welcome home, Kim and Chay? right?", he asked me extending his hands towards me.

"Yes sir", I nodded in approval.

"Ahh...Just call me Pa, no need to be any formal!", he corrected. And I looked between Kim and his father. Kim was more furious when his father commented.

"Let's all go and have lunch!", Khun Thankun, proposed, and as said we all went to the huge dining room to have our meals eaten.

I was so much astonished the moment, I saw the huge table filled with almost all the food items. On the right, there were a few varieties of chicken, and on the right, lamb, and the center Pork and seafood. And the serving maids were all waiting to get us served.

Like a newborn cat that follows its mother, I stayed closer to Kim and never left his side. Even though my brother was still here, I felt more remorse with him, like I somehow drifted with him after he came to the main family. But all this time, Kim stayed by my side, so somewhat I am closer to him.

I don't know how good he would take me, like being too clingy or dependent! But I like to be by his side.

"So...we got an important announcement to make...", Kinn who sat by the side of my brother stated and made all the members of the table staring at him.

"I and Porsche have decided to get married.", Kinn took out the hands of my brother and tightly held them in his hands.

WTH???

Marry? Really? Why? Are they that close? I fucking don't know! I scanned the faces in the room, no one seemed surprised. Maybe I am the one who takes on their cues later and these persons here might already predicted.

"That is good news!", Papa Theeranakul, congratulated his eldest son and soon, we all congratulated them.

I came here only for a formal lunch, but here I was filled up with the shocking news of my brother's marriage!

Kim helped me in removing the bones from the fish, though I insisted I could do it by myself. His action was so good, but it drew attention from all the other members of the table.

When the server tried serving me the shrimp, even before I could reject it, Kim did that for me. He got a great memory knowing I am allergic to seafood which happened during Kinn's birthday.

"Phi! I never expected you would be getting married!", I expressed my surprise to Porsche near the washing area.

"Even I never believed Chay. When I was injured, Kinn took care of me like anything. After from our mother, I experienced such love from KInn. I don't want to leave you behind and when he jokingly asked if we could marry, I said yes.", he smirked.

"I am so happy for you!", I hugged Porsche.

"How are the things going on between Kim and You? I saw the press interview. It was rather a bold decision!", he praised Kim.

"Hmm...That's great actually. I was living at my friend's dom before, till Kim asked me to stay with him!"

"Are you both living together!?", he asked surprised.

"Urrrrrr", I spilled a lot I guess.

"It is so fearful living alone in our house!", I defended myself.

"Porchay!", he gasped, suddenly Kim appeared before me near the washing area to my rescue and I escaped from further questions from my brother.

With Kim passing before me, my brother suddenly called him out, "Can I talk to you for a second?", he asked.

Really? I am so nervous, about what they both are going to talk about! They both disappeared into the lawn nearby and they were talking about something in far distance. That is why I can interrupt their conversation.
