Love makes you go crazy they said,
But why do I feel so calm.
I don't feel like I am going mad,
But rather feel like I reached the place- home.
My heart beats faster that's true,
But it suddenly vanishes once I get closer to you.
"Maybe this is love?" I ask myself,
Maybe it is feeling safe and being myself.
I feel light, soft and fresh,
Not at all like a hot mess.
I feel like I can be whoever I want as long as you are by my side,
Maybe being empowered is what love feels like.
Maybe I do love you now that I know what it feels like,
Shit- I am in love, sike.
