"The Italians called them Strega. The Yoruba of west Africa call them aje, meaning mother. Where my mother was from, they called them haxa, and here we call them witch." Elijah tells him. "Over the centuries, vampires have fought them and fought besides them, bedded them and burned them. Whether adversary or ally, they have been a force to be reckoned with. Their ancestral magic anchors this city. There's never been one all-powerful witch until Davina."

"Do sparks not count?" Stiles questions.

"Sparks are their own thing, completely different from witches. Far more powerful and they seem to be getting more powerful with each one that pops up." Elijah explains.

"Didn't you only know Lila? How could you know we're getting stronger?" Stiles asks.

"No, actually we did meet the one before Lila, very briefly mind you. Kol was besotted with them but they were married and just stopping in our village before moving onto their actual destination." Klaus informs.

"Being married didn't stop Kol for a second, did it?" Stiles inquires.

"No, he almost got himself impaled by a sword. I believe we've moved off topic." Elijah points out.

"Davina is now tucked safe and sound down the hall under our protection. What we should be talking about is the drawings. Your Celeste was quite beautiful and a portent of evil, according to our volatile artist in residence." Klaus mocks.

"Klaus, play nice. It was your fault she died after all." Stiles scolds.

"Perhaps Davina's mistaken what she calls evil for power. Celeste was certainly very powerful in her day, but she's been dead for over two hundred years. I don't understand. Why all these sketches now?" Elijah mutters.

"Why does any witch do anything?" Klaus offers up half-heartedly.

"Maybe Celeste isn't as dead as we think she is. Or maybe someone is planning on bringing her back to life. Or a witch could plan to harness her power and spirit and use it to their gain. Either way we shouldn't just ignore this." Stiles says.

"Your willing to ignore the vision of our children killing all witches but not of Elijah's ex being a portent of doom?" Klaus asks with a taunting tone.

"That vision came from a witch that I don't like or trust. Sabine has an agenda. Davina had no idea who she was drawing. Hell she didn't even draw Celeste on one sheet of paper, no instead it was scribbles over multiple. Something is going on and we should be wary." Stiles warns.

The sound of yelling and a loud bang breaks the tension in the room causing all three of them to look up as Davina and Marcel fight.

"Ah family drama." Stiles smirks.

"Sounds like it's going well." Klaus adds.

"If you were aiming to win the girls trust, perhaps making her think her one true love is dead was not the most splendid idea." Elijah offers.

"You agreed to the plan." Stiles reminds.

"Stiles is right but whilst we're here are there any more inopportune deaths you'd like to wave in my face?" Klaus asks.

"Give me a month. I'll get you a list." Elijah answers sarcastically.

Stiles can't help the laugh that bubbles out of him.

Another loud bang makes them all look up again.

Klaus gets up out of his seat, "Young, old, dead, or alive, witches are a pain in the ass." He walks out of the room.

Stiles and Elijah stay seated and look at each other with amusement written over their faces.

Klaus is such a drama queen.
