"KYLE!" Stan raced out of the practice room as Kyle left, ignoring Kenny's attempts to stop them. They gritted their teeth as they were met with a cold mountain breeze and rain dripping onto their head outside. They quickened their pace as Kyle did his, water splashing underneath their attempts to race after each other.

This should be easy for Stan. They were the more athletic one, but, they tripped over a large rock, and faceplanted onto the ground. They looked up, face dripping with rainwater and dirt. They didn't see their friend anywhere.

"Kyle..." Disappointment and a slight twinge of regret filled Stan as they sighed. They shook their head and did their best to wipe of their face, crestfallen. This was stupid. Here comes their stupid emotions and everything else stupid that came with those emotions. They stood there in decisively for a moment. They were close to their house. They could make a quick stop before going back to practice. It's not like anyone would notice. They-

Suddenly, an umbrella was raised over their head. Blankets were placed around their shoulders. They glanced back and smiled and little, seeing that familiar orange and green outfit, "You...came back. I...didn't think you would..."

"You're right. He wouldn't." Stan froze and looked back at the person next to them again. Those eyes weren't Kyle's. "That's why he doesn't deserve someone like you."

Stan remained silent for a moment. Why did this clone...this robot...care more for Stan than their actual super best friend? They took a deep breath, and forced themself to relax.

They could talk to Kyle later, but there was nothing wrong with just standing in this moment for a minute.
