CARRIE'S POV
I couldn't believe my ears, what was he up to now? God, and why did he choose Aura, obviously he doesn't like her especially after the day of truth or dare so why was he doing this?
Was it to get back at me, no way I'd take that, I eventually started watching 'King the land' a Netflix series, basically K-drama but I couldn't focus so I ended up taking it back over and over and an episode is about an hour long and I believe I did that for so long, I heard the doorbell ring, when I checked the time it was 4:00 pm, well today flew by fast, I went downstairs and opened the door;
''Hey bestie'' Aura said and walked in;
''Ok, you've gotta tell me more, how and why?!'' I said immediately not even bothering to shut the door when I heard someone's voice;
''Well I decided to follow my girlfriend here'' he said then smirked, boy was this the end of me;
''Oh hey Marcus, I don't remember inviting you here'' I said with a fake smile;
''I know, but you didn't also invite Aura right? She and I just decided to drop by'' he said, looked around then sat on a sofa;
''No you see there's a difference, Aura's my best friend you on the other hand, ehh'' I replied;
''Okay, you both should stop already and Carrie, isn't there something you're meant to do to your visitors?'' she said trying to tell me to get something for Marcus;
''Visitors, right but unwanted ones, you kick them OUT!'' I replied;
''C'mon Carrie, please'' she begged;
''Fine!'' I rolled my eyes; ''Is there anything you'd like Marcus?''
''Hmm... apple juice or ooh, Chapman'' he replied while I rolled my eyes so bad, I could see the back of my head. PS:- Exaggeration.
''I'll be right back'' I said and went into the kitchen, grabbed a glass cup and a bottle of Chapman, I walked back out and met only Marcus there, I looked around, where was Aura?
''She went to use the restroom, she'll be right back'' he said, thanks? I placed the drink and glass cup in front of him on a tray and was about to leave when he pulled my hand back, I tripped a little and now I was leaning above him, our faces inches apart;
I stayed there for a moment not realizing what was happening until I heard Aura's voice, I quickly got up, thank goodness she hadn't seen us, she was still upstairs;
''Hey Carrie?'' she said from the top veranda upstairs;
''Yeah?'' I said trying to sound casual but my voice was croaky due to what just happened;
''Can I see you for a minute?'' she asks;
''Of course'' I say practically running up the stairs, I wanted to get out of there fast;
''Yeah?'' I ask as I get upstairs;
''I was thinking, what can I get Marcus as a gift'' she says;
''Wait a minute, you both literally just begun dating today'' I say shocked that she was moving so fast I mean I still had no idea why he chose her as his girlfriend especially after the other day;
''I know, just to make him know I value him'' she replied stupidly I mean, we can all see where their relationship is going, right?
RIGHT?!
''Girl think about it, he has never once given you a look and had definitely never shown interest in you not to mention the way he literally acted when I dared you to kiss him'' I said trying to talk some sense into her;
