tw: SA and self harm

Angel and Adriana came back to the hotel immediately after the encounter with Val.

Angel gave Adriana random shorts and a top for her to sleep in and asked her to leave him alone.

Reluctantly, she did. She wished that she could comfort him, but she didn't want to force her company onto Angel. So, she went to her room to change.

Angel took a bottle of vodka he stored under his bed and started drinking right out of the bottle. But as he looked at himself in the mirror, he suddenly experienced a flashback to Val assaulting him for the first time. He threw the bottle he was holding at the mirror, breaking it. He could rarely look at himself without thinking of the person Val had made him into. A puppet.

He slid down to the floor, his hands grabbing his hair. He cut his legs on the bits of glass that were on the floor, but he didn't care.

He started to cry, hot tears running down his cheeks and dripping onto his fur.

There was a knock on the door.

"Angel? Angie, what happened?" it was Adriana.

Angel didn't want her to see him like this, so he didn't say anything and attempted to cry a little quieter.

"Angel, I heard a crash and I just wanted to make sure that you're okay."

"I'm fine," he said in a cracked voice.

But Adriana knew what that 'fine' meant.

"Alright, I'll go back to my room." she said.

But Angel knew that she didn't, because the shadow underneath his door stayed.

In fact, she sat there with her back to his door the entire night.

While he wept himself to sleep on the floor just a foot away.

"Adri, what are you doing here?" asked Husk, who spotted her half asleep in the corridor the next day

"Adri, what are you doing here?" asked Husk, who spotted her half asleep in the corridor the next day.

"I- ugh-" she came up with a lie on the spot, "I got waisted yesterday and must've not made it to my room"

"You got drunk on your first day in Hell?" asked Husk, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah..." she said, a little embarrassed.

"I like your vibe, kiddo," he smiled, before continuing to walk down the corridor.

Adriana watched him and got up once he was out of sight.

Carefully, she opened the door to Angel's room. She saw him laying on the floor, shards of glass all around him. His eyes were red and puffy.

She understood what had happened. She would've left him be, if she didn't see that he was bleeding after laying in glass.

She went to the next room and knocked.

"Come in!" said the Radio Demon.

"Hi, do you have a first aid kit?"

"Why of course," the demon said, summoning a bag from thin air. "May I ask what happened?"

"I accidentally cut myself, it's not a big deal," she lied, thanked Alastor, and went back to Angel's room.

She shook the sleepy demon, trying to wake him up

"Angel, Angel. Wake up, please, I need to bandage you up."

He groaned, before opening his eyes.

"What hap-" he looked around. Saw the mirror, the broken bottle, felt the tinge of little glass shards he'd slept on. And it all came back.

"Fuck, I'm so stupid-"

"Don't say that," Adriana said, "But sit up, so that I can help you."

She was very skilled with first aid. Many of the girls from her work had started hurting themselves. And she was always the friend who'd hear them out and bandage their wounds.

And so, she instructed Angel to sit on a chair, quickly cleared the floor of any remaining glass and got to work. Carefully, she took out shards, disinfected the cuts and bandaged them up.

"There are some on your back, you're gonna have to take off your shirt," she said.

Angel did, showing his fur-covered back and chest.

Only now did Adriana realise that he never had breasts, he only pushed up his floof to appear more feminine. She took out the rest of the shards and bandaged his torso.

"Now, don't move too much today, you might reopen a wound or two," she instructed. "Definitely don't go to work, I know how draining the shoots can be. Just stay here and relax"

Angel pulled his shirt back on and looked at her strangely, before hugging her.

"Thank you," he said in a very genuine voice, as if he was about to tear up.

"No problem," she said.

"No, really. Nobody's ever cared this much about me, especially after I fell. I'm really glad that I met you," he smiled lopsidedly.

"It's really no problem," she smiled back. Now, get some rest. And drink water, because I can see that you're hung over"

"And how are you not?"

"I'm masking it well," and with that, she left the room.
