Talking- the night before

"Hey Hyunjin?", Han asked, seemingly out of the blue.

The two had been sitting together on the sofa for some time, scrolling mindlessly on their phones.

The whole group had been instructed that the night before the comeback was to be for rest and free time only. So here they were -unsure what to do with themselves when not practising or producing, because it was all they had been doing the past few months.

"Yeah what's up?" Hyunjin replied absently, almost as if on autopilot.

"Have you noticed anything different about Felix lately?" Han continued, eyes still fixed on his phone, but not paying any attention to what was on it.

That caught Hyunjins attention, causing him to pause, raise his eyes to look at Han, and lower his phone into his lap.

"You noticed too?"

At that, Han did tear his eyes away from the screen, and turned them too meet Hyunjin's, observing the concerned look on his face.

"I thought maybe I was just overthinking it, or it was just him taking this comeback a little harder than the others", the older continued.

"But honestly, you're right, he hasn't been the same lately at all".

Han hummed thoughtfully.

"He's been more distant right? And looks tired all the time, even more than Chan, and that guy like never sleeps".

Hyunjin couldn't help but chuckle lightly at that, before returning to his previous seriousness when he remembered the conversation they were having.

"Have you also noticed he doesn't eat much any more, either? And he's really light -lighter than he used to be, and he's already a pretty small guy?" the dancer added, a frown coming over his face when he remembered lifting the boy so easily up, and to his room.

Han also frowned, but in thoughtfulness rather than remembrance.

In all honesty he hadn't really noticed how much Felix had (or hadn't, he supposed) been eating, there were just so many of them round the table when they ate together, that it was difficult to notice the goings-on of everyone's different plates, while also trying to work through your own.

"I hadn't noticed that really to be honest" Han admitted.

"But he always wears baggy clothes recently so it's kind of hard to see what his body looks like anyway, and I haven't picked him up recently either so" he shrugged.

Hyunjin realised alarmingly just then, that if Felix had managed to hide his lowering weight from the other members, and he had only noticed when picking him up as he slept... what else could he be successfully hiding?

"There's one other thing as well" Han said hesitantly, pulling Hyunjin from his thoughts.

"But I kinda promised Felix I wouldn't tell anyone, it's just I feel like maybe you should know so we can piece this together somehow you know?" he explained quickly, his hand rubbing nervously at the back of his neck.

Han was gonna feel sooo guilty for this and he knew it, but if it helped Felix in the long run, then he felt he had to.

"What is it Hannie?" Hyunjin pushed as the other spaced out slightly.

"Ok, well, um" he took a deep breath and decided to just get it other with.

"So last week before the Fan meet, I noticed Felix seemed really anxious the whole way there, kinda how I get sometimes you know?"

Hyunjin nodded in understanding.

"And so I kept a bit of an eye on him by sitting next to him during the Meet, and he just seemed to get more and more anxious, so when he got up really quickly and said he needed the toilet, I followed him".
