Nakaupo ako sa aking kama, habang hawak ko ang aking cellphone para kausapin si Karzean. My room was filled with upbeat music playing in the background.
"Fern? Good morning!" Karzean greeted cheerfully.
"What's up, Karzean? You sound really excited." Sabi ko na may ngiti sa aking mukha.
"Yeah, pero wait.. Wala ba akong good morning dyan? Di ka nag-reply sa good morning ko kanina." sabi niya.
"Ok, good morning po! Okay kana ba?" tanong ko na may ngiti.
"Well, you know our classmate, Shawn? His girlfriend's friend is organizing a proposal event, at naghahanap sila ng musicians na magpe-perform. And guess what? They've reached out to us!" He exclaimed.
"Wow, Karzean! Talaga?" I said, surprised by the news.
"Ofcourse! They want us to play a song during the proposal." He said excitedly.
"Okay, Karzean! Pupunta na ako agad. Hintayin mo ako ah." I said, rushing to prepare myself.
Hindi ako makapaniwala na pag gising ko sa umaga, magandang balita ang darating sa akin. Alam ko na ganoon din si Karzean. Simula nang magkaroon kami ng school break, hindi na kami nakapag-perform. We used to perform mostly at school events, so I'm incredibly happy about this. Ang feeling na muli kaming magpe-perform, hindi ko maipaliwanag ang tuwa na nararamdaman ko.

Nang pumunta ako sa venue na ipinadala sa akin, I was amazed by its beauty. The garden was bathed in warm sunlight, with colorful flowers blooming and birds chirping happily. I felt a mix of emotions at that moment. I looked to the other side and saw my bandmates already there. Everyone was here, except for Lucas and Archielle, the couple we were going to sing for.
Ready na ang lahat, kaya umakyat na kami sa maliit na stage malapit sa may fountain. Our group consisted of a guitarist who was just a schoolmate, a drummer (Karzean), a keyboardist who was also a schoolmate, a violinist na schoolmate ko parin, and me as the vocalist.
The Event Organizer approached us and gave us a thumbs-up.
"Guys, ready na ba? Yung couple darating na. We'll give you a cue to start playing and singing," He whispered to us, and we nodded in response. I also gave a thumbs-up to my bandmates. I know them well, so I have confidence in their abilities. We have been performing together for a long time, so this is already basic for them.
"Give it your best, Fern." Karzean said with a smiling face. I smiled back at him and gave him a playful look, which made him laugh. He really enjoys teasing me.
I took a deep breath. Our goal here is to make the girl say 'yes', and we will do everything to achieve that. Tiningnan ko ang malawak na garden, it's truly beautiful. This might be the most beautiful garden in this place. Bagong gawa pa ito, so this is my first time here. There are also many people here, mostly relatives, friends, and family.
As the couple entered the garden, their faces filled with joy and love, I couldn't help but smile. They looked so beautiful, holding hands. They're cute! I hope Archielle says 'yes' to Lucas. They are truly a perfect match.
Naglakad sila ni Lucas na magkahawak ang kamay towards the small river, heading to the center of the garden. Ramdam ko ang sobrang excitement ng mga tao sa paligid.
Nang bigyan kami ng signal ng event organizer, nagsimula na kaming magpatugtog ng kanta kasama ng aking ka-banda.
We chose "Mahika" by Adie and Janine Berdin. The familiar melody filled the air, creating a magical snd romantic ambiance that resonated with everyone present .
Lucas looked at his girlfriend , may ningning sa kanyang mga mata. He took her hand and led her to the center of the garden, near the charming fountain and the flowing river . The audience leaned in, captivated by the unfolding moment.

In a sudden moment, Lucas mustered up the courage and took out a small box from his pocket, iyon na yata ang singsing.

Tears of joy welled up in her eyes as she looked at Lucas.
"Yes, Lucas! Yes, I will be your wife!." Masayang sabi ni Archielle kay Lucas.
Tumayo si Lucas at isinuot ang singsing kay Archielle. Niyakap nila ang isa't isa.
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause, celebrating the beautiful moment of love and commitment.
