"Shhh... shhh... it's okay Charlie." I say.

I decided to bring them back to the Hotel. It was closer. I managed to clean up Husker and Angel. They'll be alright. Charlie had a nasty cut on her arm.  I pull off her shirt. She's going to need to have a cleanup. Her wounds are surprisingly deep.

"I'm just so scared for him." Charlie says.

"Tell Auntie Rosie... as soon as you get into the tub." I point.

I tighten my apron. I help Charlie get into the bathtub. I told Vaggie to take it easy. She'll definitely have to rest. I casted up her arm real nice. This reminds me of the war. There was so much blood. So much death. And so much hate. I hated every second of it. I pour water over her.

"I failed him." She mutters.

"I did to." I say.

She looks up at me. I start rubbing her back with a towel soaked in warm water. Tears still drip from her face. She's nowhere near as sad as me. I'm just trying not to cry for them. I've controlled my emotions for a long time now. I rub her arms with soap. She winces.

"Sorry sweetie." I say.

"It's okay." She sighs.

"So, we all fucked up, but who says we can't make it right?" I ask her.

"Yeah!" She throws her arms up.

Water hits my face.

"Oh! Sorry." She draws back.

"It's okay. It's okay." I say.

Then I hear a massive explosion. I turn. I see something hurdling toward us. Something that looks like a comet. I see a body of some kind smash into the glass. I draw back. Emila was broken. Blood was dripping from her arms and her face.

"He's turned into a monster beyond our wildest fears." She sits up.
