You spent the walk to wherever Alcina was taking you in silence, admiring her interior design of the castle. You also found yourself glancing up a few times, still in shock about the height difference.

She came to a halt and opened a door.

"This is my study. I thought you'd prefer privacy if we are going to speak. The maids shouldn't be roaming around at this hour, but you can never be too sure." Alcina spoke, letting you enter first, then closing the door behind you both.

It was spacious. Quite gorgeous, actually.

"This room looks wonderful. Thank you." You said, taking a seat on one of the sofas.

"I'm glad you think so. After a while of being cooped up in this room all of the time I start to forget the beauty it has." She sighed.

She must work a lot. I mean it must take endless amounts of time trying to keep up with this castle.

A light knock was heard at the door.

"Ah, finally. Come in." Alcina sat up in her seat. A maid entered holding a bottle of wine and two wine glasses.

"Here you are Lady Dimitrescu." The maid said, setting the bottle and glasses down on the table, pouring the wine. "Must you need anything else, ring for me." She finished before curtsying and exiting the room.

"I wasn't sure what you'd like so I asked that she bring one of my personal favorites. I hope you don't mind." Alcina said, handing you a glass.

You took a sip and it was like everything in your body was suddenly light. The flavor melted on your tongue. It felt like you were on the beach. Just pure relaxation.

It took you a moment to realize Alcina was looking at you, waiting for a response to how you liked the wine.

"I have to say, this is probably the best wine I have ever had in my life. Where did you get this from? I would love to have this at home." You asked, examining the wine bottle.

Alcina smiled. "I made that one."

"You're joking." You said in shock. You couldn't believe her.

"I'm not. I own a wine business. This is just one of the many bottles I've produced." Alcina spoke, proud of herself.

You take another sip from the glass, glancing between it and Alcina. "I'm amazed, honestly. I couldn't imagine how long it took just to get the perfect flavor for this bottle, let alone all the others."

"Trust me. Way too long, but it was worth it. I have buyers from all over the world, itching to get their hands on my wine."

"I can see why." You laughed. A few moments of silence went by before you broke it. "So what did you want to talk about?"

"Anything. I'd like to know more about you seeing as you are part of the family."

"Family?" You questioned.

"Well, sort of family. The other lords are my siblings, not by blood, obviously. I don't know what I would've done if I was related to that foolish Man Thing we call Heisenberg." Alcina said in disgust. "But Mother Miranda took us all under her wing."

"Well I guess that makes a lot more sense."

She hummed to your response. "What about your family?"

You should've known she'd asked about yours. You sighed. "My daughter's are my family. I haven't spoken to anyone outside of them in years." Taking a sip of wine and the end of your sentence.

Alcina looked hesitant to speak at first. "If you don't mind me asking, why don't you speak to the rest of your family?"

There was a very long, detailed answer to this question but you and Alcina only just met, you couldn't trauma dump on her right now. So you just decided to give her the short answer.
