There was a garden in Jerusalem
That was visited by the Last Adam
Where he poured out all of his worry and fear
Knowing that his arrest was nearThere was a garden in Jerusalem
That was visited by the Last Adam
The night before his torturous death
On a cross where he would take his last breath. There was a cross near Jerusalem
And Nailed to it was the Last Adam
Though prickly thorns poured blood in his face
He willingly suffered for the human raceThere was a cross near Jerusalem
And nailed to it was the Last Adam
A blameless King from a heavenly place
Came down to show his ultimate graceThere was a grave near Jerusalem
And inside was the Last Adam
The Lamb of God had been killed
So the plan of salvation could be fulfilledThere was a grave near Jerusalem
And inside was the Last Adam
But something would happen within three days
Something powerful and worthy of praiseThere was a grave near Jerusalem
And nowhere inside was the Last Adam
A risen Savior had conquered the tomb
And saved mankind from a fiery doomThere was a grave near Jerusalem
And nowhere inside was the Last Adam
There is death through the First Adam from Eden
But life through the Last Adam, Jesus, Amen
