~>Abbies Pov<~
I opened my eyes to see white ceiling tiles and a light flickering on and off as it buzzed quietly. There was a brownish red stain in the corner of the ceiling but I wasn't going to dare to ask.
As I sat up I realised I was led in a small bed with a thin mattress and metal frame. The room was only a few feet long and wide. In one corner there was a door and a large mirror on the opposite walls.
I had watched enough crime shows to know someone was most likely watching me from the other side so I didn't make any rash movements.
I didn't remember a thing after the crash. If I was in a hospital it was definitely an unusual one. Maybe meant for criminals. Not that I was one... Well they think I am.
I began to stand up but immediately sat back down as I heard footsteps approaching the door. Hopefully it was someone who could tell me was was going on.
I could hear the sound of keys jumbling together. As that stopped the door handle turned and in walked a familiar man I couldn't quite think the name of.
He came in and shut the door behind him sitting next to me on my sad excuse of a bed.
He wore a tight fitted black turtle neck and a white lab coat. I scanned for a name but I couldn't see one.
"Oh marvelous you're awake!" he said a little to excitedly for my liking. His smile quickly faded when he realised I wasn't reciprocating such joy.
"Now I'm sure you're confused my dear but we'll take very good care of you here. You don't have to worry" he said with a smile. Once again he seemed very happy for a reason I was unsure of.
I was starting to think that maybe this wasn't a hospital after all. Doctors usually introduce themselves immediately and he didn't even mention his name.
It seemed eerily quiet considering it should be filled with sick and injured people. Nevertheless I tried to stay calm and just looked at him.
"Where am I?" I asked him just above a whisper.
He stared back at me softly and placed his hand on my shoulder, which caused me to jump slightly.
"You're in a place where we can keep you very safe, alright?" he said to me in hope to calm me down. I just nodded.
"Well, I'm going to go and check on some of the others now. You just stay here and rest. Looks like you need it" he laughed.
"Others? " I asked in a voice just louder than before.
"Of course there are others. You didn't think this place was just for you, did you? You stay here and maybe you can meet them soon. Our youngest is 5, and our oldest turned 18 not to long ago" he explained.
Okay a 5 year old definitely cannot commit a crime and get taken away so it can't be a criminal hospital. He also wouldn't of come in and sat next to me alone if it was.
I nodded again and he stood up to leave. Right before he opened the door he turned around to face me. "Get some rest now, you'll need it" he said smiling at me only this time it didn't look like a friendly smile. It was more a smirk, like when you are doing a prank on somebody or something.
~>Dr. Jameson's Pov<~
My lord is that girl not chatty. Quite the opposite from what her file said. She was definitely different from what I expected but what can I expect when I've taken her and put her in an unfamiliar room on her own.
Age: 10
really bubbly, talks for days, super advanced for her ageI went to go and see macy. She was definitely my favourite although I would never admit it to someone. She really trusts me. I've raised her since the day she was born. She trusts me because she's never known anything else.
I took the key card and pressed it to the door to exit the ward. I took the stairs up to the children's ward and went to the end of the hallway.
I knocked on the door 3 times to let her know it was me.
"Come in dad!" she told me as I unlocked and opened her door. She was sat next to a copy of her playing with dolls. Macy's powers were extremely advanced for her age. I give myself credit for that but also for her for the effort and dedication.
As she turned to me the one I was talking to disappeared. One of her favourite tricks. She ran up to me and hugged me tightly.
"You ready to train?" I asked with a big smile.
"Yes! Yes yes YESSS!!" she squealed and giggled.
"Come on then!" I held my hand out for her to hold. She did so and I walked her out of the building and headed to the warehouse turned training room.
"Ready?" I asked
"Ready" she said confidently.
