The next day, I was watching Y/n from a distance, sitting by the black lake with a book in hand. The plan to make her fall in love with me felt like a wall I couldn't climb.

How do I make her fall in love with me when I'm falling for her?

Taking a deep breath, I approached Y/n slowly, my footsteps echoing in the quiet surroundings of the black lake. As she looked up from her book, her eyes met mine.

"Mind if I join you?" I asked.

Y/n hesitated for a moment. "I suppose not," she replied, making room for me to sit beside her.

"So, what are you reading?" I asked, gesturing towards the book in her hands.

Y/n glanced down at the book. "It's a muggle romance novel," she replied.

I nodded, as I listened to her talk about the plot and characters of the book. Wait- I could read the romance novel to find out about Y/n's needs in love.

I leaned in closer, my eyes meeting hers. "Would you mind if I borrowed that book?" I asked, my voice soft.

Y/n blinked in surprise, clearly surprised by my request. "Um, sure," she replied, handing me the novel with a curious expression. "But why?"

I offered her a small smile. "I've always been intrigued by muggle literature, and I'd love to see the world through your eyes, even if just for a moment."

Y/n's expression softened. "Well, in that case, I hope you enjoy it," she said..

As I took the book from her hands, this was my chance to win her heart.

And as I flipped through the pages of the novel, entering into its world of love, I couldn't help but wonder what truths lay hidden within its words.

"Enjoying the book?" she asked, her voice soft like a whisper on the breeze.

I nodded, unable to tear my gaze away from her. "More than you know," I replied.

Y/n's smile widened.. "Well, I'm glad you're finding it entertaining," she said.

"Thank you for letting me borrow the book," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "It was... enlightening."

Y/n's smile softened, a hint of something unspoken lingering in the air between us. "Anytime," she replied, her eyes holding mine in a silent exchange that spoke volumes.

Without warning, Y/n's hand brushed against mine. I glanced up, meeting her gaze, and in that instant, it was as if time stood still.

I closed the gap between us, my lips meeting hers in a soft kiss.

For a heartbeat, everything else faded away as we lost ourselves in each other, the world around us disappearing.

But then, reality came crashing back. I pulled away, my heart racing as I realized where we were.

Y/n's cheeks turned red as she looked around, her eyes wide with surprise. "We should, um, probably go," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I nodded. "Right," I replied, scrambling to my feet and offering Y/n a hand.

Together, we made our way back to the castle, the memory of our stolen moment lingering in the air between us like an unspoken promise.
