Y/n's Perspective

The next day, I found myself sitting with Pansy in the common room. I couldn't shake off the memory of our kiss, the way his lips had felt against mine, or the way my heart had fluttered in my chest.

Pansy eyed me curiously. "You seem a bit distracted today, Y/n," she remarked, breaking the silence between us.

I glanced up, with a smile. "Oh, it's nothing," I replied, knowing that it was far from nothing.

Pansy raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced by my response. "Come on, spill it," she urged as she leaned in closer. "I know something's up."

Taking a deep breath, I decided to tell Pansy. "Well, you remember how Draco and I met at the black lake yesterday?" I began.

Pansy nodded. "Yes, I remember. What about it?"

"Well, something unexpected happened," I admitted.

Pansy's eyes widened with curiosity. "What kind of unexpected?" she asked, her tone eager.

I took a deep breath. "Draco and I, we... we kissed," I confessed.

Pansy's jaw dropped in shock, her eyes widening. "You and Draco kissed?" she repeated.

I nodded. "Yes, we did. And now I don't know what to think," I admitted again.

Pansy's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Oh, this is juicy!" she exclaimed, leaning in closer. "Tell me everything, Y/n. How did it happen? Was it romantic? Did you feel sparks flying?"

"Well, it was unexpected, to say the least," I began, recounting the details of the kiss by the black lake. "And there were definitely sparks."

Pansy gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. "Sparks! That's so romantic!" she exclaimed. "Maybe this is the start of something new for you and Draco."

"Maybe," I replied. "But it's all still so uncertain. I don't even know where Draco and I stand after what happened."

Pansy nodded sympathetically, her expression softening. "I understand, Y/n. It's a lot to process, especially considering everything that's happened between you two."

Just as we were having a conversation, the common room door swung open, and in walked Draco himself, looking somewhat hesitant as he scanned the room and his eyes met mine.

Pansy noticed Draco's arrival and shot me a look before excusing herself, leaving me alone with Draco. As he approached, I couldn't help but feel a flutter of nerves in my stomach.

"Y/n, there's something I need to say," Draco began, his voice wavering slightly.

I held my breath, waiting for him to continue.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking lately," Draco continued, his eyes never leaving mine. "And I've come to realize that... I care about you, more than I ever thought I would."

"Draco, I..." I started, struggling to find the right words to express.

But before I could finish, Draco reached out, gently cupping my face in his hands.

"Y/n, I know I've made mistakes in the past," Draco said earnestly. "But I want to make things right. I want to be with you."

"Yes, Draco," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. "I want to be with you too."
