2 hours before the execution:
"All step aside, his majesty is coming!" The dungeon roared with the announcement, which caused Luke to be scared of and Ash to be confuse.
"T-the king?" Luke asked subconsciously, as he was now beaten up more than his capacity.
They both have thier hands tied in iron chains separately, and they were kneeled down, while they were covered in blood.
"Who's Luke?" An armed soldier asked the two friends, and Luke looked at him, who was standing at the gate which was made of iron bars.
"It's me." Luke said wiping a trail of blood from the corner of his mouth.
"The king has ordered you to be separate from your friend." The soldier said eyeing ash.
"What? But why?" Luke also screamed at him. And the soldier raised a eyebrow at him, but he did said anything .
The soldier came closer to Luke to release him from the iron chain ,in which he was currently tied on, same as Ash.
"But do I have to-"
"Because his majesty has ordered this. " this caused Luke to shut up.
"We shall leave now." The soldier said as he dragged Luke to another cell.
Now that Luke was gone ash was alone, but instead of thinking of escapism or anything else, all he could think of was Blaze.
Cause he knew how easily Blaze can panic, because that's how he has been, all this years.
Ash sighed, his head hung low, he was now praying to his God, that if he was going to die now, at least he wanted to watch Blaze's face for the last time.
And just at cue the iron door opened up again, Ash didn't looked up as he was again praying, but maybe God heard his praying.
"Ash!" Blaze said with a gasp, he was quick to kneel down in front of ash and to cradle Ash's head in his hands.
Ash's eyes were tired when his eyes met Blaze's glossy ones. He was on the verge of crying which made Ash to thrive in his iron chains to redeem his tied hands. But he couldn't, the more he struggled the more it caused him pain.
"It's okay Ash, it's okay. " Blaze hugged him, and ash put his head on Blaze's shoulder, shedding tears as well.
When this all was going on, the king came in the cell ,watching this two ,but he made sure that not a single soul should be there witness or listen, to whatever he
was going to tell this duo.
When Ash calmed down he raised his head from Blaze's shoulder, that's when he saw the king.
He went uneasy since the king was watching them hugging each other, of course they'd been friends for a long time, the king has seen them hugging each other but this time it was different which made him uncomfortable.
Blaze felt it, so he looked at Ash, and then followed where his eyes were focused, he caught his father's blank of expression face.
"Father." Blaze stood up, while Ash was still on the floor, "if you're here to-"
"Relax my son, I'm not here to take your....best friend away from you, I'm here to talk to you both about something important ." He said, his voice very low.
"Something important? But father-"
"Just listen to me once son." The king pleaded to his son.
And blaze glanced at Ash before he gave in.
