Chapter 84: Date

A week later...

I woke up to my alarm going off. I turned it off before getting up. I stretched before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom.

Today me and Rosé are going on a date. We haven't been on one in a while and I wanted to take her out for the day just because I like her.

Anyway after doing my morning routine, I went downstairs to make breakfast for myself.  As soon as I got downstairs, Rover barked and ran over to me. Unfortunately the kids are back home with my grandparents so it's just me and Rover now.

"Hey baby" I greeted him.

I scratched his head and went to get his food.

"Are you excited to meet your stepbrother today?" I asked.

Rover barked as I filled up his food bowl.

"I'll take that as a yes." I said.

Rover barked again before eating. I laughed and scratched his head again before making breakfast for myself.

Today Hank and Rover will finally be meeting. Me and Rosé are taking them to the dog park and then later I'm taking her out to dinner. We haven't been on a dinner date since our first date.

Anyway while I was making breakfast, my phone went off. I looked at it to see that it was Rosé and picked up the call.

Hello - me

Hey babe - Rosé

Hey baby - me

What are you up to? - Rosé

I'm currently making breakfast for myself. You? - me

Same - Rosé

Hmm okay. Are you excited for our date today? - me

Yes. It's been so long since we've been on a date - Rosé

I know - me

And the dogs are finally meeting each other today - Rosé

Right, I can't wait for them to meet - me

Same - Rosé

Hmm okay. Well I have to get back to making breakfast so I'll see you in a bit - me

Okay. I'll see you in a bit - Rosé

Bye baby - me

Bye babe - Rosé

I hung up the phone and went back to making breakfast.

After a while...

I just pulled up to Rosé's house with Rover in the backseat.

"We're here, Rover. Are you ready to meet your stepbrother?" I asked him.

Rover barked in response and got out the car. I went up to the door and knocked on it. After a few seconds, Rosé opened the door.

"Hey baby" I greeted her.

"Hey babe" Rosé greeted me.

I hugged her and kissed her on the lips.

"How are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm doing good. You?" Rosé replied.

"I'm doing good as well." I said.

I soon heard barking and I looked down to see Hank.

"Hank, hey baby, how have you been?" I asked.

Hank barked happily and I picked him up and hugged him.
