Chapter 8~ Everything crashes down

Sooo, I published the wrong part. 😂 I is stupid. But yeah, you got a tiny part of "Alone For The Day (Chapter 8)" I'm still getting used to Wattpad. So yeah! Anyway, enjoy! (I'm restarting this chapter!)

~Ace's P.O.V~

I walked downstairs and into the living room, looking around for Miller, Ash, and the kids. The kids...I'm still getting used to that, but oh well. I'll learn to love them, hopefully.

I dragged my oxygen thank along behind me, I hate this thing. Even though I've only had it for 1 night, I hate it.

I walked into the kitchen and to the counter. I saw a piece of paper on it, and picked it up, reading: "Ace, went to the park! We'll be gone for a while. We made you dinner, it's in the fridge. And please, keep your oxygen tank on! You need it. We love you!
From your loving family,
Ash, Miller, Macy, Hope, and Jackson."

I looked at the words loving family. I sighed and put the paper down, sitting down on a chair. I closed my eyes and covered my face. Speaking of family...

My mum.

I froze. I need to call her. Now. I got up and grabbed the phone off of the counter, taking my oxygen tank off. I put her number into the phone and pressed call, putting it to my ear.

I listened to it ring. "Please pick up," I whispered. I waited, and waited, and waited. She finally picked up, "Hello?"

"Hi mum," I said. "Ace?" She asked, it sounded like she was crying.

"Yeah, it's me," I opened my eyes and stared at the counter. I can't believe I'd forgotten about her.

"Where have you been? What's going on? Where are you?" I heard her sob. That broke me.

"Mum, I'm fine. Do you remember those guys that wanted me to come with them?" I asked quietly.

"Yes. Did they hurt you? Do you need help?" She asked, talking quickly.

"No, mum, they're my mates," I said quietly, closing my eyes tightly again. My chest felt heavy, but I didn't care.

"Oh god," she sobbed. "I thought you were hurt! You could've called me sooner and told me. Ace, come home."

"Why?" I asked.

"I want to see you," she sobbed. "Come back home. I miss you. You're my baby boy!"

I sighed, "why don't you come here? You could live with us. And, you won't be that far from town either, or the house."

"No, Ace-" I cut her off. "Please mum? It's not that far, I promise."

"Fine," she said, her voice shaky.

"Thank you," I whispered. "I have to go. I love you."

"I love you to, bye Ace," she said. I hung up and put the phone on the hook and picked up my oxygen tank, sighing loudly.

I put the tubes back in my nose, and wrapped them around my ears.

"Ah, you're here, perfect," I heard a deep voice say behind me. I froze. Who could that be?

I slowly turned around..Xavier.

"What-what are you d-doing here?" I stumbled over my words.

"Why are you scared, love? It's alright, I will not hurt you," he grinned, his hands behind his back.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled, grabbing a knife off the counter.

"Oh please, you wouldn't hurt me, would you?" He stepped even closer to me.

"Yes! I will. Step back, now!" I felt my eyes start to water, God. What am I supposed to do? I'm helpless.

"Calm down love, I won't hurt you," he smiled a sweet smile. Sweet killer smile..

"I thought you were dead!" I yelled, pointing the knife at his face, stepping back.

"Oh please! You cannot kill a demon," he chuckled, looking at me.

"A demon?!" I yelled, looking at him and then knife. Well that's fucking useless now.

"Yes, Ace. Didn't they tell you? I am a demon. But please, do not fear me," he smiled. I could see the lust in his eyes. Gross.

"Go away!" I started to cry, panicking. What now? I'm so screwed.

I turned and ran towards the phone. I just about to pick it up when it went flying across the room. I froze in shock, but then ran towards the door, carrying my oxygen tank with me.

I ran at full speed, swinging the door open with full force. I started running towards the park, crying and panicking. My chest started to feel heavy as I ran.

"Oh Ace, please don't leave! I'll miss you," I heard Xavier call behind me.

I pushed myself to run faster, my legs starting to feel numb. "Ash! Miller!" I screamed, sobbing and gasping for air, fear running through me.

"Ace?" I heard Miller's voice and fell. "What are you d-why are you crying?" He asked. I laid on my back and sobbed, my hand on my chest.

He helped me up slowly. "Xavier!" I yelled and pointed as he walked up to us slowly.

"Kids, get back. Ash, here now," Miller said.

I stepped back and turned, wiping my tears. "Let's go," I whispered to the kids. They looked at me in shock, but obeyed.

I quickly picked up Macy and looked down at Hope and Jackson. "Let's go back to the park, Okai?"

"Daddy, why are you crying?" Hope asked, looking up at me. I shook my head, "I'm fine."

~Ash's P.O.V~

"I thought I killed you!" I nearly yelled, looking at Xavier.

"Oh please. Don't you remember? Demon," he laughed, flashing his eyes black.

I shook my head, looking at Miller and then Xavier again.

"Why do you want Ace so much?" Miller asked, growling protectively.

"Did he not tell you?" Xavier pointed to me. "He said that when he finds his mate, he'll give him to me."

I felt fear and anger run through me.

"You what?!" Miller yelled, looking at me with anger. I didn't look at him.

"I was 14! I didn't want a mate back then! I didn't want to be held down! I didn't mean it, alright? You can't have him!" I yelled and pushed Xavier down onto the road, growling.

He got up twice as fast and punched me across the face, taking me down.

~Miller's P.O.V~

I ran after Xavier as he ran towards Ace. He pulled something out his pocket and ran faster.

I jumped into the air turning into my wolf, trying to catch up to him.

He pushed something into Ace's back, I heard Ace scream and watched him fall forward.

I jumped onto Xavier's back, biting his neck and ripping his head clean off.
