~Miller's P.O.V~

"He has what?!" I screamed, throwing the book the doctor gave me at the wall.

"P-Pneumonia.." The doctor repeated, shaking lightly.

"Do the test again!" I growled, staring at him. Anger and fear boiled through me. "Now!"

"I-I did it twice..Alpha Miller, it won't change...I-I'm sorry," he backed up from me, looking at the ground.

I felt a sudden urge to beat him to death.

"Miller, let's go," Ash said quietly, also stepping back from me. "We have to get this up to Ace," he whimpered, holding up an Oxygen Tank.

I glared at him, "he's fine! This asshole is lying!" I growled, grabbing the doctors jacket. I heard Ash suck in a breath.

"Miller! Snap the fuck out of it, Ace does have Pneumonia! Doctors don't lie. We have to get this to Ace, and if we don't, it'll get worse. Now, put the human down and let's go!" Ash growled, turned, and walked out of the room.

I threw the doctor on the floor and walked out of the room, my anger fading, but the fear getting stronger. I can't lose another mate.

~Ace's P.O.V~

My chest felt heavy as I slowly sat up, seeing Miller and Ash.

"Hey baby," Ash smiled, but that quickly faded. Miller didn't say anything, he just stood by the door with a fearful look on his face.

"What's..what's that for?" I asked, pointing at the oxygen tank that Ash was holding.

"It's for you," he paused. "Uh..Ace..you have Pneumonia.." He looked at the floor.

"What's that?.." I asked, confused. Isn't that something to do with the lungs? I can't remember, we learned about it in Health in some grade.

"Well..Pneumonia is where you have chest pains and well..there's mucus in your lungs," he paused again. "It does go away, but the doctor said that it might not for you.."

I stayed quiet. How was I supposed to answer that? What am I supposed to do now? Can I even live with this?

I stared at the bed, not moving.

"Ace.."Ash said quietly, putting the oxygen tank on the bed. "You should put this on..you need it."

I shook my head and put my hands over my face. This cannot be happening. It's not true. I'm fine.

"Ace, really, come on," Ash sighed impatiently, pushing my shoulder a little.

I felt tears at the corners of my eyes. This cannot be happening. No. It's not true.

"Ace, for fuck sakes, put it on!" Ash growled.

I froze, but then started to sob. I felt Miller sit on the side of my bed. He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me tightly.
