Two Mates? (On Hold)

Chapter 5~ Miller

~Ace's P.O.V~

I quietly walked into the living room, looking around. I was still scared after what happened yesterday, but who wouldn't be?

"Ace?" I heard a deep voice, Miller. I flinched and turned around, "y-yeah?.."

"How come you left me?" He growled a little. I saw him step into the living room, the light hitting him.

"A-Ash..he said that...I.." I stumbled over my own words. I couldn't make out a sentence.

"He said what?" He growled. I shook my head and closed my eyes. I can't tell him what he said, I need to protect Ash, he's injured.

"I said that we have to go, you're abusive. I can't have that," I squeaked, taking a deep breath.

"You can't have that? Well, I'm not changing, so you better get used to it," he chuckled.

"You either change or I wreck our bond and take Ash as my one and only mate," I held my breath, looking at Miller right in the eye. "Understood?"

He held his stomach and laughed loudly. He shook his and looked at me, "you'd break the bond between me and you? Yeah right!"

I felt a sudden rage run through me. "I'm serious," I growled, looking him in the eye.

"Serious? Ace," he sighed, "Do you even know how to break the bond?"

I nodded, "I know very well how to break it. It may be painful, but I don't care. I'll do it."

"I dare you," he growled, staring down at me like I was a child.

"Fine," I growled back, "now get out!" I pointed to the door, not breaking eye contact with him.

He walked over to the door madly, then stopped, turning around. He looked at me and spoke deeply, "you'll regret it."

He looked me up and down once more and then left, slamming the door shut.

I slowly walked up to the bedroom, carrying a tray full of food for Ash.

I slowly walked into the bedroom, walking over to Ash. "Ash?.." I said quietly. I didn't know if he was awake or not.

He rolled over, rubbing his eyes, "yeah?.." I set the tray on the small table beside the bed.

"I brought you food," I sighed. He nodded a little, slowly getting up, "thanks."

I nodded and sat down on the end of the bed. He picked up a piece of bacon and bit it, slowly chewing.

"Miller was here.." I squeaked, looking at the floor.

He coughed and turned, looking at me shocked, "he was? Are you Okai?"

I nodded and closed my eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. He didn't touch me."

Ash sat up, turning towards me, "why was he here?"

"He asked me why I left, I told him that it was because he was abusive.." I trailed off, staring at my feet.

I heard a loud crash downstairs and quickly got up, running into the hallway, Ash following behind me.

I slowed down when I got to the stairs, looking down and into the living room. I saw Miller sitting on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably.

I ran down the stairs and over to him, sitting on my knees beside him. "Miller, what's wrong? Are you Okai?"

I know he hit me and is insanely moody, but he's still my mate. I have to care, I need to care.

He covered his face with his hands, sobbing. I gently wrapped my arms around him, pulling his head against my chest.

"It's okai," I whispered, holding him tightly. Ash came down and sat on the other side of Miller, rubbing his back.

I kissed the top of Miller's head as he started to calm down. I closed my eyes tightly, listening to Miller's breathing.

After calming Miller down, we all sat on the bed upstairs.

"So...why did you hit me?.." I asked quietly, looking at Ash, then Miller.

Miller looked down at his hands, "I have anger issues...and hearing things like that, doesn't really help..I'm not abusive, I just have anger issues that I can't control.."

"Oh.." I nodded slowly and then lightly rested my head on his shoulder.

"Mhm.." He lightly rested his head on mine.

We sat there, in silence, loving each other's company.
