It is not hard to find his way back inside the palace after already having been here before and the thorough research preceding that day as well. Especially so because Jisung has learned from the last time, is fairly sure to know where his planned destination would be and then climbs his way up the stairs within the worker's quarters, then exits through an open window and continues his climb outside the palace walls. If Jisung had more time and less of a bad reputation, the would probably sit down with a piece of paper and brief the king on security measures, let him know what exactly has been done wrong this entire time for Jisung to easily slip in and out once and now be back again far more easily than he should have been able to.

But he figures the king might not ever be able to stand him enough for that. Already so because he is Han Jisung, has stolen countless things from all sorts of people within the kingdom and even something from the actual palace as well. But considering Jisung is who he is and has also managed to fall head over heels for the king's only child, felt him in all the most intimate ways possible, he feels like the king might dislike him a whole bunch more with that. Though Jisung, if times were less dire and urgent than they are right now with his just important person out there with their kidnapper, would smugly tease back, be extra provoking. He would declare his love for Minho and his dick to the most influential man in the kingdom, just to be a little shit, drive the man mad and get punished by Minho afterwards once they would be out of sight again. He really wishes that would be his biggest concern right now.

He does not even seem nearly as bothered by the danger and height of his climb as he should be, fueled by the mere thought of his man. Minho. His Minho. Because all Jisung needs is Minho. Back by his side, safe and sound, right where he belongs.

Jisung eventually reaches the window he had his eyes on, one handedly works on cracking it open from the outside while the rest of him is trying hard to hold on tight, make sure he would not fall off into his death. Not like this and not right now. Jisung will not and cannot die before seeing Minho again.

It takes him a few seconds of him concentrating with all he has until the window cracks open with a quiet noise, one that seems so much louder now in the quietness of the night than it would have at literally any other time of day. From previous experience, Jisung would probably say that morning time until noon is the most convenient to break into the palace. Because usually the staff is the most busy during those times, some still tired from the night before and having to get into the day, Chan and his trainees doing guard trainee stuff Jisung does not know or care about and the king is usually in his story, discussing some stuff with his best friend, who also happens to be Chan's father.

The afternoons and evening are quieter, with the exception of some days with special events. Like the lantern festival as well for example.

But nights are too risky. Far too quiet and with a way higher chance of some guard out there, posted somewhere on the palace grounds, hearing whatever tiny noise that might come from Jisung in the end.

Mere two weeks ago he would have probably planned on seeing San again, maybe, catch him where he is posted for the night and find a proper reason for coming back to the palace instead of whatever it actually is that he came back for. He might have gone looking for one of the other trainees instead though, drag one away and get dicked down before leaving for good, a little farewell gift to himself having been made just like that as well. But the Jisung from two weeks ago did also not know Minho yet. Because the mere thought of sleeping with someone else as of now or anytime soon makes him feel sick, like he wants to throw up from it, bile rising up to his throat. He belongs to someone now.

The study is empty when Jisung's feet hit the ground with a light thud. He gently pushes the curtain back into place so it is covering all of the window again. He properly steps inside afterwards, looks around the space and walks right up to the desk to twist the little nub of the prettily ornamented lamp on it to turn it on. It is bright enough to fill most of the space, lights it up warmly, but not overpowering in a way that is blinding Jisung either. It is honestly very nice.
