NINE MONTHS LATERAlina lay in bed, watching an amusing comedy on her phone before her thoughts turned to her pregnancy. She couldn't shake the fear she felt after watching true-life movies about childbirth, witnessing the pain and even deaths some women endured. Meanwhile, Michael had been unusually kind lately, likely due to her pregnancy, adding to her anxiety.
'What if I have a girl? What then? God, please help me,' she prayed silently.
Suddenly, she remembered an important question she needed to ask him, unsure of his reaction.
"He promised not to beat or shout at me," Alina reassured herself.
Summoning her courage, she made her way to Michael's office, finding him immersed in work without acknowledging her presence. Quietly retreating, she sought solace with Michael's closest confidant, his prime minister, Will, whom she affectionately called Willy. Handsome and with a gentle, deep voice, Will contrasted sharply with Michael.
Aware of Michael's plans and often at odds with them, Will was Alina's go-to for answers when she couldn't approach Michael directly.
Upon entering his office, Alina hesitated before expressing her need.
"My Queen, no need to knock. You're the queen, after all," Will greeted her warmly, prompting a smile from Alina.
"I'm being respectful," she replied with a chuckle.
After a brief exchange, Alina finally posed her question.
"What will Michael do if our baby is a boy?" she inquired softly.
Will observed her beautiful blue eyes and flawless features, momentarily taken aback by her beauty.
'If only Michael saw her as I do,' he thought, admiring her despite her shy demeanor.
After reassuring Alina, Will divulged Michael's plans to control and groom their son for his own purposes. Alina's dismay was evident, leading to tears and Will's comforting embrace.
"I'm sorry, Alina. I wish Michael would stand by your side and challenge tradition," he lamented, empathizing with her.
"Why can't I have someone who loves and cares for me?" Alina sobbed, her heart heavy with disappointment.
Their conversation was cut short by Michael's unexpected arrival, leaving Alina to hastily compose herself to avoid his suspicion.
Later, Alina reluctantly embarked on planning a celebration, feeling overwhelmed by her circumstances.
Upon meeting the celebration planner, Christina, Alina admired her artistic talents and gentle demeanor.
"I am sorry, my Majesty. Please, what can I assist you with?" Christina asked timidly.
Engaging in conversation, Alina discovered Christina's humility and was moved by her sincerity.
"Christy, you're an angel," Alina praised, touched by Christina's kindness.
As they delved into planning, Alina's discomfort grew until she was struck by intense pain, signaling the onset of labor.
"Ah, ah, ah!" Alina cried out, alarming Christina, who quickly summoned assistance.
Amidst the chaos, Alina's future hung in the balance as she grappled with the uncertainty of her child's gender and the challenges that lay ahead.
*************
Wow! Alina is in labor! *Excited screams*
Yet, I'm filled with concern. What if she gives birth to a girl? What will happen?
What do you think lies ahead? Will the baby be a boy or a girl? If it's a girl, how will Alina cope? Will she even survive? If it's a boy, will it change Alina's world forever, or will life continue to test her resilience?
Let's discover together 😊.
