"Shall we ask Y/n's mom?" Jimin asked as he saw you mom, doing the chores.
"Hi aunty how are you?" Jimin said as he held your mom's shoulder as she didn't replied anything. "Can you pass me the bottle please?" Jimin asked as she handed over the bottle to Jimin.
"Do you need any help?" Yeji asked as She harshly turned over, tears stuck in her eyes as she looked angrily towards Jimin and Yeji.
"Aunty.. Are you okay?" Yeji asked as she harshly wiped the tears. "Don't touch me. " She said as Yeji was about to approach her. "You all are going to enjoy your life, but what about my daughter?" She said as everybody looked at her shook.
"You'll attend university normally, you'll eat whatever you like, you'll visit arcades whenever you want, you'll go party and go clubbing but what about Y/n!?" She yelled as she cried.
"You are going to enjoy your life to the fullest, but my daughter didn't even had the chance to complete her youth! WHY!? JUST WHY!?" She exclaimed as she fell down on her knees while Jimin, Jungkook and Yeji stood shook, too stunned to even speak anything.
You, who stood near the door frame saw everything with a heavy dead heart which was no longer beating, you could feel the emotions still, your broken heart broke more to see the state of your friends and your family like this.
"What have I done?" You mumbled as stream of tears overflowed your eyes. Jungkook glanced at you and your obvious reaction made him understand that you were probably feeling the same thing as him.
Your dad who was coming from out saw your mom on the floor as everyone stood shook in their places. Panicking, he rushed towards your mom and he bombarded her with questions.
"Are you okay? What's wrong? What happened? Did you hurt yourself? Did anybody say anything to you?" Your dad asked multiple times as a crying Yeji voiced out her words.
"I'm sorry aunty. I'm sorry uncle but I feel bad too for not having Y/n around. She's my friend since childhood. Yeah I can't bring her back but I didn't killed her." She cried as Jimin spoke.
"We aren't responsible for her leaving us, you cannot say stuff to us that way, it feels like we are mere strangers to you and as if Y/n never meant us anything. Yeah I understand you have lost your daughter who was as precious as anything could ever would but we have lost our friend too!" He said, his voice cracking every passing second.
Your dad signalled them to go away for a while as Jungkook, Jimin and Yeji left the scene, while you took small steps trying to come closer to your parents.
"Mom.. Dad.. " You whisper as you hug them but they couldn't feel a thing, it was obvious. "Did you yell at the kids?" Your dad asked as he wiped the tears of your mom.
"I was swayed by the emotions. " She said as he gently kissed her forehead. "We can't change what has happened." He said as she nodded and Hugged him and cried.
He cried too, for the probable reasons for how his wife is upset, how he couldn't save her daughter and how he couldn't be a good father. After calming down, he looked up to his wife.
"You should apologize to them." He said as he tucked the hair strands behind her ears. "Yeah I must. I burned them a lot." She said as she got up and washed her face and headed towards your room.
While you were following her and recalling something, you saw her opening your bag. "Gosh her handwriting never improved." Your mom said as she laughed seeing the cancellations and the way you wrote numbers, not in the proper line.
You pouted while saying, "my handwriting is good. It's just I was supposed to solve really quick that's why it looks messier." But to your bad luck she didn't hear what you said.
"Shit- the laptop!" You exclaimed when you saw your mom heading to get the laptop. She took it out and sat on your bed, trying to contemplate what else you kept in it, since you used to use your laptop for 15 hours a day.
"I wonder what's in there." She said as she pressed the power button of the laptop and waited for it to start.
Meanwhile you were doing your nervous dance whilst jumping here and there, moving your palms and wrist in to and fro movement with a constant speed when it suddenly clicked.
You ran and pushed down the power button right after the screen opened in front of your mom. "Huh? What happened?" Your mom mumbled as she clicked on some keys checking if the laptop was on or not. Clicking the power button again, she saw it buffering to open but you pressed the power button again causing it to switch off.
"Is it not charged?" Your mom mumbled. "Or are there any technical issue?" She mumbled again as she was putting it to charging. "Oh wait, I'll just hand this to Jungkook and Jimin, they'll see if something's wrong and will charge it too." She said while snapping her fingers in the air as you sighed as you were really relieved.
"Thank god." You mumble as you follow your mom who carried the bag towards Jungkook, Jimin and Yeji in their room.
There was a knock on the door when Jimin with red eyes and rubbing his nose opened the door only to spot your mom
He got startled as he quickly wiped the tears away. "Can you let me in?" Your mom asked as he widened his eyes.
"Of course, you didn't even had to knock, this is your house." Jimin said as he wiped his face with the long sleeves of his shirt as he saw Jungkook and Yeji sitting, with gloomy expression.
"Look guys what I found!" Your mom said as it caught their attention. She handed out the laptop bag to Jimin. "I found Y/n's laptop. I don't know if there's anything certain in there because she mostly used it for studies but maybe your group pictures would be in some folders. Please take a look." Your mom said as Jimin nodded.
"Aunty- I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled earlier like that on you." Jimin mumbled as you sat on the bed, exactly between Yeji and Jungkook.
"Actually I'm sorry. My words were really harsh. I don't want to force you either to always let it go, just because I'm hurt. I don't want to hurt you all, you all are like Y/n to me. I'm so sorry." Your mom said as they nodded understandingly.
"It's okay." They all said in unison causing a chuckle to escape their mouths. "I have ordered pizza. Come to the dining table." Your mom said as she was about to leave the room when she suddenly turned. "Also, I was trying to switch on the laptop but it didn't start. I'm not sure if its because battery or something else, please leave it to charge before coming." She said as she left the room and Yeji put your laptop to charge.
"Let's go." Yeji said as Jimin and Jungkook nodded as they headed to the dining room. Everything felt at ease when issues were resolved, they had a great meal of not only pizza but pasta and macarons too.
Heading back to room, Jungkook took the laptop as you tried the same trick on Jungkook. When he pressed the power button, you pressed it back and the laptop didn't start.
Getting frustrated Jungkook yelled. "[Hajimalago (하지만나고) ] Don't do it!" Jungkook exclaimed as Jimin and Yeji got startled.
"Yah! Why did you yell!?" Yeji asked as he realised nobody could see Y/n. "I got frustrated, this laptop-* ring ring* " Yeji's phone rang as she picked up her mom's call.
"Guys I'll have to leave, I need to help mom and dad in moving the stuff." Yeji said as Jungkook nodded knowing that Yeji was moving to another apartment, nearby the previous one she used to live.
"Jimin, you should go too. Drop her home and go to your home. You haven't been there since 4 days." Jungkook said as Jimin nodded, feeling no other option.
They left when Jungkook finally turned to you. "Why were you doing that?" Jungkook asked as his both palms rested on the sides of his hips.
"I wanted only you to see it first. Just in case there are any suspicions." You say while fiddling your fingers as Jungkook eyed you. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"I never wanted to die, kook." You replied.
