"I've decided to meet up with her," I inform my friends, my tone serious as I look at each of them.

"Y/n, you can't do that! It's too risky, especially after what you just told us," Thomas protests, his worry evident in his voice.

"Obviously, you won't be alone. But it's too dangerous for you to face her head-on. We will go with you, and we can hang back while you handle the conversation," Jenna suggest, trying to ease our concerns with a nervous smile.

"Meanwhile, I'm heading to my grandfather's place to dig up more info about this relic. He knew something, and we need to find out what it is," Liz announces, determination ringing in her voice.

As we discuss our plans, the tension in the room is thickining. We know we're facing a risky situation, but we're determined to do whatever it takes to unravel the mystery surrounding the relic.

My heart raced with each step as we made our way to the city center. The air felt heavy, thick with a sense of impending danger. I knew we were walking into a risky situation, but there was no turning back now. My friends' safety depended on it.

As we approached the meeting spot, my senses were on high alert. Every sound, every movement felt magnified, a constant reminder of the danger lurking nearby. But I refused to let it deter me. I had made up my mind, and I was ready to face whatever lay ahead in order to keep my friends safe.

"Hello, Y/n" Billie purred, her voice a velvety whisper that sent a shiver down my spine. "I've been looking forward to this moment."
"Hello, Billie," I began, my voice steady but laced with anger as I locked eyes with her. "I can't say the same since you threatened my friends' lives."

Her response was chillingly calm. "I have to get that relic one way or another, don't I?" she stated matter-of-factly, as if it were a foregone conclusion.

I bristled at her words, my anger simmering beneath the surface. "I can't give you the relic, Billie, and you know that," I retorted, refusing to yield to her demands.

But before I could say more, she reached for her phone and held it out to me. "I thought you might say that. Take a look at this live video," she said ominously.

I glanced at the screen, my heart sinking as I saw my friends held at gunpoint by the same officers we had encountered before. Dread washed over me as I realized the gravity of our situation, and I knew that I had to act quickly to save them.

I hesitated, my fingers inching toward the relic buried deep in my bag. Handing it over to Billie was a risk, but I couldn't just stand by and do nothing while my friends were in danger.

"Take the relic, but please, let my friends go," I pleaded, my voice quivering with fear.

With a shaky hand, I fumbled for the relic and passed it to Billie. As our hands met, a strange energy tingled between us, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Thanks, darling. I have a feeling we'll cross paths again," Billie said, her tone laced with a hint of flirtation.

With a nod, she tucked the relic into her pouch and vanished into the darkness of another alley. Left alone, I couldn't shake the mix of relief and worry swirling in my gut. Saving my friends felt like a victory, but the uncertainty of what lay ahead loomed heavy on my mind.

I sprinted as fast as my legs could carry me, heart pounding in my chest, until I finally reached the spot where my friends were hiding. Relief flooded over me as I saw them all safe and sound.

"Thank goodness you're all okay! Let's get out of here and head home," I exclaimed, my voice filled with gratitude.
