Tristan didn't sleep that night. He was too busy covering his body in makeup, even the parts that could objectively not be seen. The new devices installed in his school were only part of his newfound paranoia. With how much the press was always in his buisness, the thought of being found out by an obsessed wannabe reporter filled him with dread.

The machines acquired by the mutant containment unit used sound to map out bodies. With his exoskeleton he'd be found out immediately.

Thankfully sound can be a fickle thing to temper with.

Tristan considered using the small reactor in his drawer, but he feared the device was simply too powerful.

Filled with a burst of inspiration Tristan rummaged through his things finding an old bluetooth speaker he never used.

He realized that what he was faced with was essentially an extremely high powered ultrasound machine. After a bit of ressearch, he found that they can output frequencies up to twenty thousand hertz. A regular phone could output sounds up to forty eight thousand hertz, but some speakers could reach up much much higher.

As he took the simple machine apart only to make it smaller. Tristan waited for his phone to download a music making app.

Now all he needed was a frequency. Tristan went through a few, before he picked the highest his tools could muster and hoped for the best.

Tristan leaned back in his chair with a sigh dragging a hand down his tired face.

"Is caffeine toxic to spiders." He muttered to himself glancing at the three cups of coffee already on his desk.

"Well I'm probably already too far gone." He shrugged to himself going downstairs for his fourth cup of coffee or maybe it was his sixth last night was blurry.

Marching down the stairs Tristan blindly poured himself a cup, dumped nearly a cup of sugar in it and turned around.

Meeting the gaze of a wide eyed blond teen around his age seated at the kitchen table, a steaming cup of tea resting in front of him. Tristan slowly brought the steaming coffee to his lips and started drinking.

"That cannot be good for you-."

Tristan raised a finger downing the rest of his coffee in one go. He set the cup down his body struck with full body shudders.

"Probably not, who the hell are you? I know my parents are philanthropists and all, but..."

Tristan trailed off suddenly remembering who he was.

"Oh yeah, Danny Rand sorry, I am incredibly sleep deprived... welcome I guess I saw you on the news, i guess my mom tried to break the news to me herself."

"Yes, she was quite displeased when you repeatedly declined her calls." Neutrally replied Danny a bit taken aback by this introduction.

"What are you her secretary." Scoffed Tristan pouring himself another cup of coffee. He didn't need a spider sense to know he was going to need to extra energy.

"Where's my mother dearest anyway?"

"She said she had buisness to attend too." Danny replied carefully as he took a sip of tea.

Tristan let out a dry chuckle "get used to hearing that a lot."

Danny regarded Tristan strangely, recalling how Ladybug had described her children to him on the plane ride.

"It's not a too personal question Danny." She had smiled a maternal light shining in her eyes as she spoke of her children.

"Claudia she's a bit of a fire starter, she doesn't take nonsense from anyone. She's sometimes a bit too confident and relaxed, but she's most likely the best fighter I've trained. She just needs to take things more seriously, you'll like her I'm sure, despite the fact she'll most likely try to fight you."
