When he returned from Shanghai it was to an onslaught of kisses from his mother and a crushing hug from his father.

A grumbling Claudia handed Alice a hundred euro.

"Did you two bet if I was gonna die or not?!" Demanded Tristan offended.

"Well that was on the table."

"But we decided to have some class and simply bet if something would go wrong or not." Finished Alice smugly counting the money.

"I saw a dragon breathe lightning into an evil mutant. So sure that was going wrong, but that was still rad as fuck."

"Language!" Exclaimed Marinette.

"You can't blame me I'm traumatized by these bizarre events." Tristan replied in the calmest voice possible.

"Plus mom you swear way worse than that when you burn yourself cooking."

"Yes your a bad example for us mother, only our progenitors can be blamed for our bad habits." Said Tristan in a posh tone sharing a fist bump with Claudia.

"Well there's no denying it he's fine." Brightly said Adrien clapping his grumpy wife on the shoulder.

"I hope he is." She sighed as she watched him walk off with his sisters towards the car.

"You have quite the son Marinette."

"Fei" warmly greeted Marinette hugging the ex user of the Prodigious.

"You should have seen him in action."

"In action?" Trailed off Marinette.

"Yes, he wielded the Prodigious with quite some skill."

"HE WHAT?!" Demanded Adrien looking on the edge of a heart attack.

"Oh put your heart at ease Adrien. It took me nearly a decade of use before my body gave out. Your son is young and healthy, one usage of the Prodigious won't hurt him."

Marinette made quite the imitation of a fish out of water.

"He said he saw a dragon. Not that he became one!"

"Your son is a considerate boy, I don't doubt he merely didn't want to worry you. I wasn't conscious, but my good friend Shang-Chi told me all about how your son bravely fought against Xorn."

"Xorn?" Repeated Marinette confused.

"He is a mutant extremist with a star for a head."

Adrien stared at her blankly for a bit. "Okay that's weird even for us. We have got to get up to date with the modern vilain scene, before people start calling us old."

"Speak for yourself I'm as radient as I was in my twenties." Chuckled Fei Wu.

"I must ask, when do you plan on giving him a miraculous?"

"The plan was never." Admitted Marinette crossing her arms.

Fei Wu frowned a bit.

"You understand the virtues of the Prodigious Marinette. Not anyone can wield it's power. Confidence, calmness, Patience, compassion, courage, honor, discipline, justice. Those are the tenures the wielder is expected to embody."

"Well my son gets impatient when his order doesn't arrive on time. He runs whenever danger is near, he hardly does his homeworks unless he likes the subject. He's only started to be confident enough to show off his inventions. His fifth grade essay was on how the perception of honor was and I quote bogus. Maybe the Prodigious got desperate."

Fei Wu smiled at her patiently.

"You worry for your son and none can know him better than you two, but the Prodigious reads the deepest confines of one's heart. Things that even you and himself cannot see. It is not my place to chose, but objectively he is beyond worthy."
