Lloyd POV
Beckett and I were strolling the streets at night, because he wanted fresh air but hated Ninjago City at daytime. We were just talking and chilling, but I saw a shadow moving quickly in the corner of my eye. "Shh," I whispered to Beckett, and we both became instantly aware.
We quietly stalked the shadow to the outskirts of the city. I looked to Beckett, who just shrugged. The shadow met up with others and together, they got on some motorcycles and sped away. Thinking quickly, I shot a ball of energy at them. I didn't hit them, but they turned around and got off their bikes. As they walked towards us, Beckett and I moved into a battle-ready position. The leader lifted his jacket hood, and I noticed a necklace— no, not a necklace. A locket. On his neck there was a locket, identical to the one we found. And Beckett noticed this too.The leader, probably 21 ish, walked up to me and outstretched his hand. I shook it, and he smiled slightly. "I'm Henry. These are my siblings: Annie, Nico, Layla, and Elijah." Henry gestured to the group of teens. "Who are you?"
They seemed friendly enough, so I answered: "I'm Lloyd, and this is Beckett."
Henry got really close to Beckett and, subconsciously, I pushed my friend back slightly, as if I was protecting him, and glared at Henry. Through my arm, I felt Beckett's heart beating a little bit faster. Henry just smirked and paced backwards a couple steps. "Easy, tiger. No one's gonna hurt anyone."
"You better not," I growled.
"Lloyd," Beckett whispered. I looked back at him, and his face seemed a little red.
"Sorry." I let my arm fall down. "Who are you guys?"
Henry got on his motorcycle. "You'll see. Hop on!"
I scoffed, conjured my elemental dragon, and pulled Beckett up. "Show the way."
Henry chuckled. "Very well. I like you."So shortttttttt X_X
