Jake

I heard something break in Skippy's room so I went up to check on her. I heard crying and the door was locked. I knocked. After a while she let me in.
"What's this?" I asked, closing the door and picking up a picture.
"It's a picture." Skippy said.
"Of who?" I asked.
"My mom." she said, crying more.
"I know how it feels." I said, hugging her.
"How?" She asked.
"My mom is dead, too." I said
"Oh, I'm sorry Jake." She said.
"It's fine, she's been gone for a while now." I said.
"My mom has been gone for a while too." She said. Eventually she fell asleep. I got up from the bed and kissed her forehead.
"Goodnight, Skippy." I whispered. I started To leave her room.
"Jake." She said. "Please stay." She said.
"Okay." I said.
