Christie was certain her end would be tragic, she already accepted the road filled with angst predetermined for an outcast like her. Everything the foreboding voice said to Rio was true, it doubled the pain she felt hearing those loudly and being shared with the man she grew up with.
She was no longer holding the strings and will of her body, the ownership was gone the moment the brand scarring was made on her chest, hidden on the left side. Among the Crown Org members, her branding was the only one placed on a different body part.
Will this be the end of my adventure? I haven't even started yet... Warm tears threaded down her cheeks but she couldn't raise an arm, her whole body was numb and she was simply staring up at the darkness, sobbing. Can she not have a second chance to live? To do what she truly wants in her life without being dictated by the Obsidian Household or the queen behind Crown Organization? From her mind's eye, she hazily saw her physical body possessed by the foreboding entity and doing unpleasant things in the town.
No...somebody please...listen...help...
The surroundings shifted, turning into an infinite gray–there were odd floating shapes and debris everywhere. An abandoned castle nearby shrouded in gray and black, it was cold here–the bed of wildflowers was dead, withered.
Christie pushed herself up, taking in the unfamiliar place. "Am I truly dead?"
"No," A stern voice replied, emerging from somewhere was a tall female with rich purple hair tied up in a bun. Her scrutinizing heterochromatic eyes stared at the brunette unblinking–blue and magenta, an odd yet interesting eye color yet it held no warmth. "This is her sekai"
"Huh? A what?" Christie asked in confusion, she wrapped her arms around her in an attempt to feel warm. "It's so chilly here!"
"My name is Phoenix, I've been watching over this plane for years to keep it in check and observing it for any malevolence" Phoenix explained, conjuring a black and gray scythe in her right hand. "It's getting worse and if I do not make a move, she is going to endanger everyone" Her unique eyes turned to Christie. "You might be the solution to my problem"
Oh not again, the short-haired brunette didn't like the sound of this, she barely had time to breathe and have leisure. "I beg your pardon but..." Christie was so stressed she was unable to hide the irritation in her voice. "...I do not know what is going on, when Crown Organization came to Twisted Wonderland I never partook in any field assignments of retrieving certain objects or killing someone. I was always inside my studio–"
"You are meant to be the vessel to be able to move from multiple lands and worlds" Phoenix interrupted her, "I can give you a second chance to have the life you want but in exchange, you will help me."
It was tempting, Christie couldn't find any trace of the scam in Phoenix's face. She meant business. "What do you want me to do?"
"You will eliminate the so-called Little Dawn"

(In Wisteria)
Jade Leech was thrown out of bed at an ungodly hour, it was only a quarter past midnight and his body felt sore at the constant walking they had done earlier. Azul became overly enthusiastic about having the people living in Wisteria invest in his business and he had already sweet-talked a lot into giving their affirmation. It was not the main reason they went here in the first place though.
"Ugh, My dolphin? What's the matter?" He was surprised when Vernie suddenly shifted erratically in bed which made him fall flat on his face. They were sharing the same room while Azul and his twin were in another. "Are you still upset about not getting a proper audience inside the Wisteria castle?"
