Dakota Swan was a pretty nice girl when you got to know her. She liked painting, reading, listening to music, and being in the rain. She loved the feel she got from the cold, like it was the only thing keeping her grounded. 

The cold is her home. She loved when the wind would blow past her face, moving her hair to cover up her face. She loved when it would smell like rain, and she loved jumping in the puddles like a little kid. 

She missed it dearly. After her 7th birthday, her mother and father divorced. Reene took Dakota and Bella away from the cold, leaving their father behind. Dakota had missed her father a lot. Her mother was kind enough to let her visit during the summer, but during the school year she would have to return to Phoenix, Arizona. 

Until her 16th birthday, Dakota went along with it. She didn’t want to cause drama, but she got sick of it. She wanted to feel the cold breeze, the rain running down her face, and the puddles that she could jump in. She missed it all. 

She talked her mom into letting her move back in with their dad. Her mother thought it was a good idea because she wanted some alone time with her new boyfriend. So she had Dakota and Bella pack their bags, leaving for forks in a week tops. 

Bella was angry at first, but came to terms that she would like to see her dad. Dakota was too excited to notice Bella’s anger, she didn’t want anything to distract her from packing her bags. 

Getting on the plane wasn’t even hard for her, while Bella cried, hugging their mother for 15 minutes. Dakota didn’t mind leaving. She really wanted to go back. 

But she didn’t know what awaited her. A girl with a pixie cut had a vision… one of a beautiful girl, packing her bags with a huge smile on her face. It was enough for the pixie cut to know everything that was going to happen. 

She warned her family that her’s and Jasper Hale’s second mate will be showing up, along with Edward’s mate. The family was split into two. Happy that Jasper and Alice will find their second mate, but also nervous that she would like the rest of them. 

They didn’t want to make a bad impression, but they also felt some sort of wanting to please her. Like everything mattered about her. They wanted her to like them, and for her to be a part of their family. Not once did any of them think about Bella except for Edward, who was very confused with everything. 

What happens when the three meet? Will they spill the secret of them being vampires? Or will they wait to get to know her first? Why is the family feeling this way? How will things turn out when they find new dangerous adventures when the two Swans come to town.
