“Dad!” Dakota yelled, catching Charlie Swan’s attention. 

He turned around and smiled. He opened his arms, making Dakota smile brightly. She dropped her bags next to her sister and ran into her dads arms. He chuckled and held on tight to her, holding her close.  

“I missed you so much!” she told him, tearing up slightly. Charlie nodded and held his daughter closely. 

“I missed you too,” he told her, and pulled out of the hug. 

He was smiling brightly down at his daughter, believing that he could see her again so soon. He put his hand on her cheek and wiped away the tear that fell down her face. 

“I’m so happy you're here. And you,” he turned to Bella, seeing her standing there awkwardly. He brought her into an awkward side hug. “It’s good to see you.” 

“You too,” she said shyly. 

Dakota couldn’t help but laugh, looking at them. She knew that they were both awkward, especially because they haven’t seen each other for so long. She covered her mouth to stop her laughs but it didn’t work, she was laughing too hard. 

“Ko!” a voice yelled out, making Dakota freeze in her tracks. 

She turned around, a huge smile breaking across her face as she looked at the girl in front of her. She let out a giggle before running towards the girl. The girl embraced her, holding on tight when Dakota wrapped her legs around her waist. 

“I missed you Soph,” she whispered into her ear, holding onto the girl tightly. Sofia smiled and nodded along. 

“I missed you too,” Sofia let Dakota drop, smiling brightly at the girl. “Damn, you look great!” 

“Really?” she asked, looking down at herself. Sofia nodded. 

“Yeah, how did you get such a great complexion?!” she asked, and grabbed Dakota’s face. Dakota laughed, and took her friends hands. 

“You look great too, you know that?” Sofia smiled. 

“You’re just saying that.”
