I almost finished reading all the graphic novels in the library. They're so interesting. I tried reading the other books filled with words but for some reason I couldn't understand them. Then I noticed these books with pictures in them and slowly adapted to the language. Now I am so addicted that I can't put it down. "Where are you?!" I read. The hero made his way into the castle, where it was pitch black. He started shouting in the dark "Sam! Sam!" He worried for his friend, for he was kidnapped by the magician who was said to have butchered thousands of cities across the land. The blood of the unlucky victims was said to have dyed the rivers and lakes scarlet as a crimson rose. The hero saw a door and cried, "Sam, are you in there?" The door seemed normal at first; it was gray, had a gold knob and hinges, however because it blended into the wall which was covered by darkness it looked as though it was floating in mid air. For some reason his instinct kicked in and his heart started throbbing. What laid beyond this door? Would the butcher of magic be there? Would Sam be there? Or something horrible? Did he even want to know? Slowly, his hand stretched toward the knob. He could feel his muscles tense, and suddenly found that it was hard for him to breathe. Slowly, he turned the knob, hearing the sound of all the small mechanisms inside it work. What he saw then made his heart roar in his head and his eyes water with tears. His mouth tasted like throw up. What he saw was-

"Hey you're reading Kingdom of Death!" I shriek in shock to find a girl with dark skin staring me right in the face. Her eyes are wide but cheerful and stare at me full of greeting. She then confides, "I like that too. Of course it's not for the faint of heart. It's really well done though." She looks at me and smiles. "I'm Hesper. What's your name?" I recovered from the shock and answered,

                       "Ebony".

"So you like graphic novels Ebony?" Hesper asks. I nod.

"Yeah, they have so many different kinds. Some are small and some are big! This one is in black and white and you even have to read it backwards!"

"Oh yeah, I think those are from somewhere in Asia. The colored ones are from West, I think... Strange how I can't remember well."

"Wait so these come from all over the world!?'

"Well yeah, if you put it that way sort of."

"Awesome! When I grow up, I want to record everything I see in the world into a graphic novel!"

"Wow, you're like a kid, or a main character from a graphic novel. The world isn't that pretty you know. There's parts of it that are so ugly that makes people want to forget they even saw it in the first place." Ugly stuff in the world? I never thought of it like that before, but suddenly I became excited.

"I want to see it, even if I feel like throwing up like the hero does I still want to see it!" Hesper gives me a blank look then starts laughing.

"'Kay hero, how about this? Some day lets see all the good and bad in this world together and record it into a graphic novel!"

"Yeah, I'll be the writer and you'll be the artist!"

"But I can't draw," Hesper says with an embarrassed look.
