"What the hell are you talking about?" I demanded, my voice trembling with disbelief and frustration. "Why would I take those drugs?"

But my protests seemed to fall on deaf ears as the officers continued to interrogate me, their accusatory glares stabbing into my soul. The handcuffs binding my wrists felt like chains of guilt, tethering me to a reality I couldn't comprehend.

And there he stood, Joseph, lurking in the shadows like a specter of betrayal. His presence only added to the weight of suspicion crushing down on me, his silence a damning testimony to the accusations swirling around us.

"I don't understand," I pleaded, my voice cracking with emotion. "How could this be happening?"

But the officers remained unmoved, their questions relentless as they probed for answers I didn't have. How could I explain something I didn't understand myself? How could I prove my innocence when the evidence seemed stacked against me?

As the interrogation dragged on, frustration gave way to exhaustion, and exhaustion to numb resignation. "I don't know," I admitted, my voice barely a whisper. "I don't know how those drugs ended up in my system."

But my words seemed to fall on deaf ears as the officers exchanged knowing glances, their suspicion deepening with each passing moment.

And there was Joseph, watching me with those dark blue eyes that seemed to pierce through my soul. What was he thinking? What was he feeling? I couldn't say, for the emotions flickering in his gaze remained a mystery to me.

As the hours stretched on, I felt myself sinking further into despair. How could I prove my innocence when even I doubted myself?
