Kristen -
I smile at the camera, flaunting my expensive Gucci bag and all my other fancy possessions. Just then, my cousin barges in like she owns the fucking place. Talk about perfect timing! I swear, this whole family needs a crash course on how to live like fucking normal humans.
"What the heck do you think you're doing, Kris?" she questions, giving me the stink eye as if I've singed her perfect hair a million times. Don't get me wrong, I've definitely tried it a few times, but that girl is always on high alert when it comes to me.
I quickly hit the mute button on the phone and move away from the camera. "Can't you see I'm live, Stacy?" I say, pointing towards the door, basically telling her to scram. Now, don't even get me started on why I can't stand her. Let's just say we have a long history.
She sighs. "You've crossed all the limits. Don't tell me I didn't warn you." And with that, she swirls around and leaves the room, strutting like a damn model. I often wonder how someone can be so pretentious all the time. It's too tiring. Even when I tried to fit into the whole "Forbes princess" role, I quickly realized that was Stacy's gig, and I was stuck being the family's punching bag. Trust me they've made it clear that I'll never be the girl they want me to be.
I let out a heavy sigh as I turn towards my camera, ending my blissful "me time" with a sweet goodbye. What ? I can actually be sweet at times. I can try to be sweet to the people I don't have beef with, or at least pretend to be.
And now, brace yourself for my favorite part of the day...cue the sarcasm! It's mandatory family mealtime, usually lunch, and on weekends like these, my dear mom and dad join in, making time for our "adorable" family, as they like to say. And of course, you guessed it, more sarcasm! Because somehow, it always ends up with them adding ten more spiteful sentences to the never-ending list of jabs thrown my way.
I make my way to the table only to find my dad yelling at the top of his voice. Oh boy, it looks like the chaos has already begun. The thought of enjoying a meal goes out the window as a shiver runs down my spine. Now, let me tell you something, if you think I'm some tough rebel girl who's never scared of anything, well, you're dead wrong. Cause this man yelling right in front of me can make my blood freeze out of fear. His eyes lock onto mine, and I quickly look away, not daring to make eye contact.
"Oh, how delightful that you've finally graced us with your much-needed presence," he sneers, his words dripping with sarcasm. Yeah, I definitely inherited that sarcasm gene from him. Or maybe, as my mom would say, I've inherited all the undesirable qualities. "I explicitly told you, no more showcasing yourself on social media," he continues, reigniting the same old argument.
"But dad," I try to defend myself, even though deep down I know it's probably not the best idea. But hey, we all do stupid things, don't we?
He shoots me a piercing glare, his jaws clenched tight. . "You've pushed all my buttons, Kristen," he says with a firm voice. "It's election time, and what do you think people will say about my daughter flaunting expensive bags on social media while I talk about helping the less fortunate?" He takes his seat at the head of the family table, motioning for everyone to join him, except me. I stand there nervously, fidgeting with my fingers, keeping my head down.
"Pack your things, it's the only way to make up for your foolish actions," he declares abruptly. I lift my gaze, confusion swirling in my eyes as I glance at my mom, desperately hoping for some shred of support. But she avoids my gaze, making it clear that she won't intervene. This has always been the way it is, and I've learned not to expect anything.
"You're being sent off to Blackwood Academy," he proclaims. My entire body freezes, tears welling up, threatening to spill over. Did it really have to come to this?
"Don't do this, Dad, it's my last year." I manage to choke out, my voice pleading, desperate. But he dismisses me with a nonchalant shrug, signaling that his decision is final, unchangeable. I'll have to leave behind everything I know. My friends, my somewhat bearable life - all locked away in that stupid ass academy.
And this is how, folks, I ended up in a plane and then a car heading towards Blackwood Academy. Good luck to me! No sarcasm, really.

Author's note-
Damn, I'm done with the starting part, at least. And honestly, I'm pretty nervous because I know I'm not a pro. Otherwise, my account would be filled with stories, you know?
Anyway, what do you think about Kirsten? Do you like her so far?
Also, if something's wrong, just ignore it, guys. I'm not a professional, just trying my best here. And remember, everything in this story is imaginary, like the names and locations. So don't stress about it, just enjoy the story.
