"Ahhh." Dean blinked rapidly and moved his mouth in weird motion. Roman looked at him, he usually didn't react this strongly to one drink. Something was really bothering him. "Dean, man, what's up?" "Oh, you know Roman, being ruthless and taking care of business." "No, Dean, you know what I mean." "No, I'm not sure I do Roman." He had a very strong, sarcastic tone. Roman could take a little understandably, but if this carried on, he'd have to regrettably kick his brother's ass. "Dean. You showed up late today. You smelled of alcohol, clothes same as the night before. You went out, had your match, and came backstage without saying so much as a damn "Hey" to anyone. I get you're upset, i'm not so sure i'm 100% either, but come on. For both our sakes." Dean's temper quickly rose, "What Roman? Because it ruins our 'brotherhood' image?" "Because I hate to watch you suffer!" Roman said this with a slight growl that made everyone around them look.
"I'm sitting right next to you at this bar and I feel 1,000 feet away. It's fine if you don't wanna get over it just yet, but at least fuckin' open up to me, man." Dean couldn't say shit. If he said something, it became real. He didn't want to face the fact the Seth left. Not the shield, him. The thought that he might find someone better made him cringe at night and go running for the hills whenever he saw Seth. He finally opened his mouth, "I appreciate it Rome, I really do. But what I'm feeling can't be fixed with a glass of Jack Daniel's and a pat on the back." He realized this is what he'd be saying to Roman for the next...well till the end of time, or till Seth was out of the picture, which would be never. "Dean, please. You can tell me. It's not like you two were romantically involved or some shit." "Why would you even suggest somethin' like that, Rome?"
But Roman nailed it. Hit it right on the head. Probably described it perfectly. Even though Roman knew Dean was down for pretty much anything, he never figured Dean would getbthat close with Seth. Dean was disgusted with himself, but once he discovered Seth was sick with himself too after the first few times, they found comfort in each other in how screwed up it was, and often took out their frustration. Its was extremely confusing for them to fool around, which is probably why Dean's heart didn't break in to two even pieces. He couldn't take this confrontation about Seth any longer.
He spotted some blonde eyeing him from across the bar, and he needed something that looked remotely numbing. He patted Roman on the back,"Well if you'll excuse me," he nodded towards the woman, so Roman knew his next actions. "Dean don't---" "Ahh ah ah--- thank you for the drinks, brothaaaa," his a's dragged out like the longing look in his eyes, a reckless look. Roman didn't try to stop him. He figured if this was the first step in healing, he would be first in line for Dean's rehab sponsor. Dean sauntered over to the lady, leaving Roman to pick up the tab, and the pieces.
