Sun sat outside the Truck as he watched the fired burning in the distance.
Vale one of the Great cities of Remnant one of the Kingdoms had fallen in only a few hours.
And now here they were driving away leaving hundreds of thousands possibly millions to an uncertain fate.
But could they really have done anything while being so outnumbered and caught of guard of guard.
Sun laughed to himself "Unfucking likely."
And so here he sat in a convoy listing to the small radio the Soldiers were listing that was broadcasting a local news network.
"Alien forces have reportedly landed and hit Mountain Glenn if you, or any of your loved ones are in that area get out now, small fire fights have been reported with Grimm but contact with any survivors is unknown."
"Fuckin hell." An Atlas soldier said in drivers seat "How the fuck did they get to mountain Glenn so fast."
"Probably used those lumbering war ships to get them in." The Other one said "Like they did in Vale."
"Yeah probably." The First one said
Sun listened into the Soldiers talk and began to wonder just how many cities had been hit in the first hour, and how many had been overrun.
"Hey kid you alright back their." The Second soldier said "You ain't said a word since we got on this truck."
Sun was snapped out of his trance by the soldier talking to him as he said.
"Oh...uhh, yeah I'm good." Sun said
"You sure...." The Soldier asked
"Yeah just...looking at Vale." Sun said sadly still seeing the smoke in the distance
The Soldiers shared a Grimm look of understanding as one soldier said "Yeah...cant blame ya."
"Lost a good friend their, died to soon." Sun said
"We all lost a friend or family member in Vale kid." A Soldier said "Those Aliens are as Merciless and brutal as they are ugly."
"Yeah...." Sun nodded "Hey do you guys know where we're even heading if you don't mind me asking."
"Heading south." The Atlas Soldier explained
"Why...wont that area be full of alien freaks to." Sun said
"Maybe but...what other choice do we have The North is full of Vales major cities...so its most likely the Alien freaks are hitting us the hardest here." The other Atlas soldier said
"So they wont be focusing on the south..allowing us to build up our strength their." Sun said
"That's the idea anyway." The Driving soldier said "Whether it is less occupied or were just moving into a death trap is unknown yet."
"Okay so 50% we end up in a piss poor location for fighting a war on this scale, and 50% we just die." Sun said
"Yeah that basically the idea." The Other soldier said
Sun sighed as he returned back to the smoke in the distances rising high into the sky.
"Well...im gonna take a couple Zs if that's the case." Sun said
"Yeah go for it mate." The Driving Atlas soldier said
"After all the shit you did back their I can safety say you at least deserve some sleep." The Other one said
"Yeah....yeah thanks." Sun said as his eyes began to close
Nothing to bad could happen while he's gone....right.
