I have decided to pay my brother a visit in the company before I even went straight to the mansion. I heard that he will only be here for a week and he will head back to the Philippines imediately after he's done with his deal here. Although our parents decided na dito s US mag settle, sa Pilipinas nag ang kuya ko with his family dahil ayaw nyang mainvolve sa cartel. Hindi nama siya pinipilit nila daddy because they never really forced us to do something we dont want.
I was already in the lobby when I dialed his number.
"Hi kuya! Are you in your office?" I asked in a cheerful voice. I missed him so much. Hindi kami madalas magkita nung nasa pilipinas pa ako dahil busy sya sa kompanya at sa pamilya nya while I'm busy with Adler. Now that he's here and I suddenly felt that I should visit him.
"Libby baby, I'm outside for a meeting." He called me in his nickname for me. It felt nostalgic. He remembered our early years.
"When are you gonna be back? I'm here at your office." I informed him.
"Oh, just a few minutes more and we're done here. Let's just meet in the mansion later if you want."
"Nah. I want to bond with you a little before visiting mommy. And maybe sasabay na din ako mamaya sau. I miss you." Paglalambing ko pa. I even pouted a little even although he can't see me. I heard him chuckled on the line.
" I miss you too baby. Okay. Just wait for me in my office. then we'll do some shopping later."
" Thank you kuya." I was delighted. My brother always gives in to my whims.
" Always baby. I love you."
" I love you too. I'll be in your office." I ended the call and immediately head into the elevator.
I entered the elevator along with two other employees. They greeted me. I don't know their names but I recognized their faces. I just noded sporting my bitch face on. When the elevator opened a tall man entered. His perfume suddenly attacked my nostrils. I heard the two other ladies greeted him.
He was wearing a suit. I can see his expensive Rolex watch on his wrists. I raised my eyebrow. He's not just anybody. I scanned his face. He's good looking. No, that's an understatement. I had known a fair share on handsome men in my life and this man outstands them. He has soft features of those of an angel. Soft skin, that striking nose, and those naturally red lips na parang kay sarap halikan especially when he smiled to those girls who greeted him I never thought like this on any man's lips not even Adlers'. His eyes are so expressive chinky eyes but I can see something in it , a dept that anyone like me would probably be curious to find out. When he's eyes landed on me, I can see how he recognized me. He greeted me and smiled a little then he settled himself on the other side of the lift.
I cannot help but to observe him more. He looks like a good boy next door type of man on the side. Given how he's biting his lip from time to time, how he puts his hand on his nape, I found myself watching every move he make. When we arrived on the 12th floor the two ladies got off. Naiwan kaming dalawa. I can see how he looked impatient. Parang kinakabahan.
" I see you know me." I stiked a conversation. I watched him looked at my side while playing on his fingers.
"Ah yes Ma'am. Everyone knows here that you are the CEO's sister." he stuttered a little. He went back facing the elevator door hesitating a little.
I made a step closer. I left a few inches gap between our bodies. I felt him stiffened. Like a predator cornered his prey.
" Then may I know who you may be?" I put my finger on his shoulder. We didn't have much gap in height eventhough I'm 5'5" and he seems to be 6 foot tall since I'm wearing a killer 6 inches heels.
"I.. I'm Zeke Madrid Ma'am. I'm a operations manager. I just recently transferred here from the Philippines." I can feel how nervous he is from his voice.
" We'll probably see each other more often now Zeke is that alright with you?" I playfully asked him. I'm clearly having fun here. I even scooted myself towards him alittle just enough for my breast to touch his back.
" Y..ye..yes Ma'am. It's your company anyway. H.. Hi..Hindi ko naman po kayong pwedeng pagbawalan na pumunta dito." He was clearly stuttering because of the distance of our bodies. Even I can feel the tension between the two of us. He's consciously watching the numbers as if praying for his floor to finally show up.
" And what If I say that it's you that I'll be wanting to see when I go here. Will you be available for me?" I continue to tease him. I'm loving his every reaction.
" Po? Bakit po Ma'am?" I grabbed his shoulder making his back hit the elevator wall and face me. I can see confusion in his eyes. Nilapit ko pa ng konti ang mukha ko sa mukha nya. Our noses almost touching each other.
I heard the faint sound of elevator ding. A felt little disappointment. I'm still having fun and it looks like he was relieved. He even sighed as if he was holding his breath for quite sometime. Akmang tatakas sya mula sa pagkakasandal sa dingding ng diinan ko mula sya sa balikat at muli syang napasandal. Habang unti unting bumubukas ang pintuan ay inilapit ko ang bibig sa tenga nya.
" We're not yet done babe. I will definitely see you later." I whispered. It sounded like a threat.
As soon as the elevator door opened wide, he hurriedly got off the lift. I chuckled a little. Looks like I found something to relieve my stress on and I'm looking forward to it.
I got off my floor and saw my brother's secretary in front of his office. Mukhang hindi naman sya nagulat at mukhang naitawag na ni kuya na parating ako. She ushered me inside the office and made me sit on the couch.
"Can I get you something to eat or drink Ma'am Ivee? Sir paolo said he will probably take an hour to arrived since there is so much traffic." Imporma nya sakin.
I asked for tea and a club sandwich. She took only a few minutes to serve what I asked for since kuya's office has its own personal pantry.
" Anything else Ma'am?"
"Do you know a certain Zeke Madrid from the operations department?" I asked Zara. She looked surprised that I'm asking for somebody else in this company. I don't usually care about anyone here unless it's my dad or my brother.
" Uhm Yes ma'am. He's an operations manager. He just transferred here in the US branch about 6 months ago. " sagot nito.
" Can you get me his profile? I want to check something."
I sat properly while drinking the tea she served me. I looked at her nonchalantly while she's still standing in front of me shocked. I looked at her my face void of emotion. Mukhang nakabawi naman sya sa pagkabigla ng makita ang ekspresyon sa mukha ko.
" Do I have to repeat myself Zara?" Tinaasan ko pa sya ng kilay. Sa tagal na nyang sekretary ng kapatid at tatay ko alam na nya kung gaano ako kamaldita. Ayaw ko sa lahat nung inuulit ang sinasabi ko.
"No Ma'am. I will look into it po." Mabilis syang lumabas ng opisina para gawin ang pinapagawa ko. Nakakatiyak akong makakarating ito kay kuya pero alam ko naman na hindi yun magagalit. I just want to satisfy my curiosity on that man.
I'll just consider this as another game. A toy that I definitely wanted to know more. And that toy is Zeke Madrid.
