Summary: You were a Jedi who was originally from a Separatist planet. The leader of your planet was not forgiving and after the separatist forces caught you, you were brought back home for a public execution. Lucky for you a special clone saved you.

I walked onto a stage, surrounded by guards, my arms restrained in Jedi-proof handcuffs. Two rifles pointed straight into my back.

A crowd of people watched as the leader of the Dinian System accused me of betraying our planet by joining the Jedi and working against them with the Republic.

"People of Dinia. This is Y/N Y/L/N a traitor to your home system. Born on Dinia, she had denied this privilege and fled to the Jedi Order. For the past years, she has worked with the enemy, the Republic to destroy us, to destroy the very place that gave birth to her. Her actions have brought her back to us, but this time as a prisoner. Y/N Y/L/N is a traitor to Dinia and should be faced with the same fate as any of our enemies - execution. "

I felt my heart drop to my feet at his words.

The two guards behind me shoved me onto my knees. "Commander Y/L/N, accept your death and die without the forgiveness of your people. May the ground of Dania forever tear your spirit as you had torn our trust."

For a second I felt like a little kid, tears coming to my eyes. My body shaking inside itself. I could try to fight, but with two guns on me, no weapon in hand and unable to use the force it would be impossible. The Dinian Lord took a rifle from the hands of the guard. I closed my eyes as the rifle had been nudged in the temple of my head.

I closed my eyes and braced myself for death. My last thought ran through my head:

For the republic.

The Dinian Lord had pulled the trigger.

. . .

. . .

My head hurt as if someone had been drilling it for the past ten years. My body felt stiff and almost paralyzed. The space around me was dark and cold, with only a small light to my left.

Great, the light at the end of the tunnel.

My body was stiff and hard to move, I pushed myself up into a sitting position. As my eyes got used to the darkness I realized that I was in a small room, the light at the end of the tunnel was just a window. I noticed my lightsaber lying on the floor in front of the bed.

The door to the bedroom opened. I grabbed my saber and huddled in the corner of the bed, but to my surprise, a familiar face walked into the room. I felt my heart rate speed up and my throat go dry.

"Commander y/n/l you're awake, for a second I thought we lost you for good." It was Jesse, even though he looked like the other clones, it was always easy to recognize him by his tattoo.

"What's going on Jesse? I'm supposed to be dead." I turned on my lightsaber and pointed it towards him. "I was shot right in the head. I died."

Jesse put his hands up. "It's okay Commander, you're not dead I promise." He slowly walked towards the cot. "Please, put down your weapon. You didn't die," he said softly.

"No! How would that even be possible?"  tears of panic came to my face.

"Commander, please. I won't hurt you."I turned off my saber. "How is this possible Jesse? Why are you even here?" Jesse sat down on the cot, right in front of me.

"When you were caught I was sent on a mission to pick up a confiscated lightsaber that previously belonged to General Skywalker. I heard your distress signal and decided to detour. When I headed you were kept in the Dinian fortress I found an old droid and reprogrammed it for remote control. Using the droid I changed the execution rifles so that they would be strong enough to paralyze you, but not kill you. Then I got a hold of your body and now you're here."

Jesse paused for a second waiting for my reply, but I was still processing the fact that I was alive and very much not dead.

"Commander, you need rest. Even though it didn't kill you, the blast still did some serious nerve damage to you. "

I could feel the nerve damage, every cell in my body was vibrating as it collapsed upon itself at the same time. Not to mention the head drill that was still going.

"I'll be fine, Jesse, thank you."

"I'm just doing my job, Commander. However there is one thing you should know, your execution was broadcast to most of the Republic. The entire Republic thinks that you are dead. "

I sigh and shift in place. "That's going to make things a lot more difficult ."

"It'll be fine, Commander, I'll take good care of you." I smiled at him. Me and Jesse served in the same legion, we were pretty close. Whenever I got sent out for a mission, Jesse would always be the first one to volunteer to come for me.

I try to get off the cot, but Jesse pulls me back by my arm. "Commander, you need to rest."

"Jesse, everyone I know thinks I'm dead. We need to get going." I blurt out, feeling uneasy. I jerk my hand away and stand up. Jesse stands up and places both his arms on my shoulders. "I know you're worried, but the Republic won't fall if you're presumed dead for a couple of days."

I took a step forward and Jesse pulled me into a hug. "I was so scared Jesse, I thought I was dead." I place my head on his shoulder as his arms tighten around my waist.

"I would never let that happen Commander." He softly whispered into my ear. For the first moment since the start of the war, I had felt completely safe, standing here in a clone trooper's arms.

"I love you, Jesse"

"Took you long enough," Jesse laughs and kisses my head, "I love you too y/n."
