real life, april 2024.

"hi"

"hi," chris exhaled hearing the girl's voice.

"hi."

"i miss you."

"i know," kylie curled her lip, trying to not cry.

"its been a long 2 weeks."

"i know."

chris paused for a moment noticing the girls speaking patten, "when can i see you? please kylie."

"i don't know chris, i miss you but i was really hurt. it took you forever to call. why?"

"why what?"

"should i see you?"

"i don't know."

"when you figure out why, tell me. okay?"

"mhm," and then chris was met with the end of call sound.

it left him to think; he knew why he wanted to see her but why should she?

he abandoned her, again. what would stop him from staying in the future? he loved her, but maybe he didnt deserve her love. he messed up time and time again, it was inevitable to happen. so chris stared at his phone, feeling even more empty after that conversation. he grabbed a piece of paper and started writing.

he would try to list reasons why kylie should see him, and hopefully, forgive him. it would be harder than he had hoped, and expected.

reasons why i love kylie

she is the most caring person i've ever met

her smile can brighten my day

she always knows what to say

the most beautiful woman ever

he pulled his phone out, opening his texts.

chris💖

hey ky

i don't like how that conversation went, im sorry.

i owe it you to prove how sorry i am

your smile makes me happy no matter what, i love hearing how passionate you get about music.

i love the way you get so excited whenever we pass dog on the street or when i get your order right.

i love you, and i know i messed up.

again. but please, ky. our love is tough, right?

and chris hit send, before falling asleep.
