Moving into Dorms

"Damn, why do I feel like moving into these dorms is going to be more of a hassle for us?" Shinsou groans, flopping down on his bed while Izumi scrolls on her phone next to him.

"Aizawa is gonna make us practice more since we don't have to go home. That man is a sadist. My other instructors were easier on me," Izumi whines, leaning over to use Shinsou as a phone stand.

"Weren't your other instructors for combat or something? You've got insane skill with fighting." Shinsou rolls over, knocking Izumi's phone onto the mattress, and lying on it so Izumi has to pay attention instead of scrolling on her phone.

Izumi frowns.

"Yeah, I'm trained in all sorts of martial arts. It's how I found out about my quirk, really."

She avoids the part about training with All Might and Midoriya.

"That doesn't explain how ridiculously strong you are!" Shinsou groans, face flushing at the memory of being embarrassed in front of the whole class as he struggled with a box of books earlier.

Izumi stepped in, adding his box to her pile of boxes easily, showing no sign of being strained. And then proceeded to take the stairs instead of the elevator. Like a crazy person.

"I did volunteer work?" Izumi shrugs, deciding to lie on top of Shinsou since he took away her phone by lying on it.

Shinsou squeaks at the added pressure, forgetting what he was talking about.

"Teach me some of your moves, then. I could impress Aizawa for once instead of tangling myself in that capture weapon again," he huffs, halfheartedly trying to push Izumi off.

"Aww, but I wanted to spill tea today, not train!" Izumi protests.

"Fine."

"Okay, so Zuzu keeps getting into trouble, the dummy. But wait, he met his soulmate!! A girl named Melissa Shield- whom he met while on vacation over the summer! I'm happy for him, but she lives really far away so like, I dunno how they're going to make that work. But she designed a support item for him!"

Shinsou chuckles, a small smile tugging at his lips, amused by Izumi's excitement.

"-He didn't text me nearly enough, and Auntie agreed with that. And then his class had a summer training camp, and some villains got involved! Zuzu broke a bunch of bones, surprise, surprise. Bakugou got kidnapped. That was all around when All Might retired. You at least heard about that part on the news, right? Although the whole issue with kidnapping was on the news, hence the dorms."

"Yeah, I heard. Serves Bakugou right. He acted villainous enough to get their attention." Shinsou rolls his eyes.

"No, I don't think he deserved to be kidnapped, even if he was a bully. No one should have to go through that." Izumi frowns, almost pouting at the boy's harsh words.

"I know... I'm just... mad that he keeps staring at you at lunch or when he sees you. I get why you were actively avoiding him before," Shinsou sighs.

"I thought you said I have to forget about him. That's why I'm not avoiding him as much now, plus Izuku invited me to sit with his friends at lunch all the time, and it's fun to drag you with me," Izumi giggles, remembering how awkward Shinsou is around people.

Shinsou pouts, going quiet for a bit before talking again. Izumi ruffles the boy's hair affectionately and waits.

"Are you... gonna give him another chance?" he asks quietly.

"Should I?" Izumi snorts, tucking her hair before shifting on top of Shinsou to lay her head on his chest.

"I dunno, he is your soulmate after all. Don't get me wrong, I don't really want you to give him another chance- the bastard can suffer for losing someone like you- but I also want an excuse to fight him... and you said I'm only allowed to do that if I have a good reason. So, theoretically, if you gave him another chance and he were to mess up and hurt you, I'm ready to beat a hoe."

Izumi smacks Shinsou's arm playfully, laughing loudly. Shinsou smiles half-heartedly.

"I'll think about it, Toshi. I don't really want to give him another chance either."
