Chapter 5: Fugitives.

(The scene opens with Jesse and Jade driving down the road in Jesse's van. Suddenly, a police car pulls up behind them and flashes their siren.)

Jesse: Shit!

(Jesse looks through his side-view mirror and sees Officer Norton sticking his head out his window and waving his arm, signaling them to pull over. Reluctantly, Jesse pulls over in front of a fast food place called "The ONE Stop". There were a lot of teens who were either getting food, smoking weed, or just hanging out. Officer Norton flashed his sirens again, causing the teens that were smoking to put out their joints and get in their cars. Officer Norton gets out of his car and approaches Jesse's van.)

Chucky: Now what?

(Officer Norton makes it to the driver's side window and looks in. He sees Jade and smirked.)

Officer Norton: How you kids doing tonight?

(Officer Norton uses his flashlight, and looks into the back of the van, and sees Jesse's and Jade's luggage.)

Officer Norton: Going somewhere?

(Neither Jesse nor Jade said anything.)

Officer Norton: Will you both get out of the van now, please?

(They both get out of the van. Jade slams the door shut and walks to the front of the vehicle. Jade put her hand up to keep Jesse at a distance from Officer Norton.)

Jade: Officer Norton, I have a question. All this following us around is that covered by your regular salary? Or does my uncle pay you extra?

Officer Norton: (no hesitation) Extra.

(Jade lest out a sigh and shacks her head in disbelief.)

Jade: Look, I'm sure you're not a bad person. I know that you're just doing your job. But couldn't you just please give us a break?

Officer Norton: I wish I could. You seem like really nice kids. It's nothing personal, at least on my part. But... the money.

(Norton starts to laugh right in Jade's face.)

Jade: You're disgusting.

(Norton laughs.)

Jade: Shut up!

(Jade's anger only fules Officer Norton's laughter.)

Jade: Shut up, or I swear to God, I'll fucking vaporizer you!

(Jade lunges at Officer Norton and is able to get one punch in before Jesse pulls her away. Officer Norton puts his hands up in a cartoonish fighting stance. The crowd's oohs causes Officer Norton to quickly turn to their direction, causing them to disperse.)

(The scene cuts to inside the van where Chucky, (Y/N), and Tiffany are smoking the weed that Warren planted.)

(Back outside, Jesse pulls Jade aside.)

Jesse: Take it easy. Come here.

Jade: We're never gonna get away with this. They're never gonna let us go.

(Officer Norton walks up with his trademark cocky grin.)

Jesse: It's gonna be okay. All right? Now, why don't you go get us something to eat for the road, and I'll deal with Needlenose. All right?

Jade: Okay.

(Norton opens the Jesse's van door and looks around with his flashlight. He lands on Chucky, and he recoils and disgust.)

Officer Norton: Ugh!

(Norton gets in the van and continues his search. Tiffany hits Chucky, and Chucky hits her back. This caused enough sound to alert Norton. Norton quickly turns to the dolls, Norton shines the flashlight in the dolls faces, then looks down at the bench they were sitting on. Officer Norton reaches for the handle and slowly opens the lid. Thinking fast, Tiffany lightly kicks the top of Officer Norton's hat. This causes Norton to let go of the bench lid and jump in surprise, hitting his head on the roof of the van in the process.)
