The Darkness Is Near

A gate to the wing of Kryptarium Prison lifts up slowly.

Emily enters the gate, a noble takes her there. 

"Well- uh. See you on the way out!" He says 

"Wait! Aren't you gonna—." Emily says but he leaves, the door slams shut and lasers scan. "Stay?" She finishes her sentence. 

A pathway leads her straight to her fathers cell.

"Hey, Dad." She says and she walks towards his cell. 

"Well, well. If it isn't the purple ninja. To what, do I owe the honor?" Garmadon says. 

"You sent for me, remember? You said it was something urgent you needed to tell me." Emily says to him. 

"Did I? Hmm. That doesn't sound like me." He says and turns around slowly, expressing his carelessness. 

"I have all the time in the world in here." He says. 

"Fine." Emily turns around and starts to walk away. "Then I guess I'll just—." Emily says

"Oh, yes." He says, he turns around. "I remember now. I did call you. Do you remember the last time we saw eachother? What I said?" He says

"You said something was coming, but it would first destroy my old realm. The realm of life." Emily says to him. 

"Yes, but you didn't listen. And now, I'm afraid there isn't much time." He says. "Time for what?" Emily asks him getting concerned. 

Garmadon smiles. "To prepare for the darkness, destruction. The end of Ninjago and the Realm of Life. And while I'm okay with that, in principle, I'd rather not be destroyed along with you, so I've decided to help you fight them." He says. 

"Fight who?" Emily asks getting more curious by each second. 

"The Bringers of Doom. You and your brother and those colour coded ninja are no match for them. There's only one thing powerful enough to stop them." He says. "

Emily sighs, "let me guess? You?" She asks. 

"I'm flattered, but not really." Garmadon says. "Then what?" Emily asks.

"If you want your realm to be safe and Ninjago then you'll have to travel to the Realm of Life and go to the temple of light. From there, you will enter the temple of light. It will test all your fears, all your feelings, it will give out the truth. After testing your knowledge and emotions it will give only one person the power to unleash the light. The light will be strong enough to destroy each and every Oni out there." Garmadon says 

"So, why do we need your help?" Emily asks him curiously, "because you need me to help you defeat the bringers of doom. If, only the temple of light doesn't do its job." He says smiling but it's not genuine. It's... creepy. 

Emily sighs. "If I- we, need your help. We will ask you. But for now lemme think." She says.

"Hm. You'll be back." Garmadon says, as Emily walks back.

Emily comes back to monastery and hears the others talking. 

"Yeah, master Wu. Are you sure you want to commemorate this moment? I mean, we've had better ones." Kai says. 

"It is a part of our history. When all hope seemed lost, you confronted destruction with creation—" Wu then balances his staff on his hand. "—Balance was restored. That is the power of Spinjitzu, which we must always—." Wu was about to continue but then suddenly a vortex opens  up above the monastery catching everyone's attention.
