If you hadn't noticed the chapter name is after a Taylor Swift song called "back to December"
You'll understand the chapter name as you read.

Also there is a book character called "Xander Knight" who I have borrowed from the RES series. So he'll be in the book.

EMILY POV:
We crashed and landed in the realm of life. We were in a forest that I had well recognized. "GET YOUR FEET OFF OF MY BACK!" Cole yells to Jay, Jay gets off of Cole and everyone fixes themselves.
I brush the dirt off of my black hoodie.
"Huh. So this is the Realm of Life?" Lloyd asks looking around and everyone gazes in admiration because of how beautiful the forest is.
"I recognize this forest. It means we're close to the city."  I say to everyone looking around. "Lead the way." Master Wu says. "This place is not quite how I remembered it." Garmadon says and everyone ignores him.

We keep on walking down the forest trail. "How. Long?" Jay says in a tired voice and stops walking and holds his knees.

"Everyone take five." I say breathing rapidly. Everyone grunts and falls to the ground in a sitting position. We hear something almost like someone walking. Everyone gets up and gets in a fighting position. A guy wearing a mask, covering his entire face except his mouth and eyes stops in front of us with widened eyes. He has green eyes that are almost familiar but I can't seem to recognize.
I drop my swords when he takes off his mask. Xander Knight.
My childhood best friend who turned into my enemy is standing infront of me. He looks almost the same but taller and his jawline more perfect than ever. His messy brown hair almost covers his forehead. "Emily?" He says.

"Looks like you know him." Garmadon says. Xander shifts his gaze from me to the people behind me. I clear my throat. "C'mon guys we need to keep moving." I say to everyone and walk past Xander.

"If you need help I can guide you to the city. I have a shortcut." Xander says. "Yeah-." Lloyd was about to agree with him but I cut Lloyd off, "no thanks. We don't need help from you. Especially from a guy like you." I say to Xander and his eyes narrow.
"I'm only offering my help. C'mon green. Things have changed." Xander says.
Green. He called me green. It was a nickname he called me because I loved the colour green he called me that when we were friends but when we became enemies he stopped calling me it.
"Don't call me that. Leave us alone. We'll find our own short cut." I say to Xander. Xander stiffens at my words.

"Emily, I don't know who this guy is to you but the faster we get to the city the faster it'll take."  Lloyd says, "fine." I say and we follow Xander lead the path. "What made you guys come here?" Xander asks as we all walk through the forest. "No questions. Just take us to the city." I say to Xander and he laughs humourless, "whatever you say." Xander says.

After walking through the woods for about 20 minutes we find a bustling city.

"Wow. This place is better than Ninjago." Jay says and everyone gazes in admiration.

We walk down the streets and stop in front of a house.
My heart drops as soon as I recognize the house. It's my home. Was my home.
What if my parents don't remember me? What if my siblings don't-
My thoughts get interrupted by Xander. "If you're thinking that your family wont remember you, they do. They missed you like hell." Xander says. I raise a brow.
"I wasn't thinking that." I say to Xander lying. "Whatever you think." Xander says and shrugs his shoulders.
