Chapter 2 - Antarctica

Location... Antarctica

Time... 1900

Year... 2019

Y/N POV

I have arrived at some base in Antarctica, where the Monarch guys have taken me. I do feel kind of happy to be away from Godzilla; she seemed like a kind of crazy person. I mean, it was nice to meet her, but I feel that she seemed a bit obsessive. I watched her destroy a helicopter because I got in and flew away. I guess I have to think about this later and might as well get comfy in this base

2 hours later

It has been a little bit since I arrived, and the base is nice. I like it. I walk around the base, and then I notice an elevator that seems out of place, but I'll use it to see where I go. I take the elevator down, and when I get out, I'm met with a massive block of ice. I look closely and notice it's got a massive female dragon in it, like Godzilla, but gold and much bigger.

This area is very quiet, so I can hear almost everything. I notice what seems to be a pulse, and then I realize it's coming from the block of ice; the creature in it is still alive. I walk over, place my hand on the block, and feel the pulse in my hand. I pulse, and shivers go down my spine because this thing is still alive.

I let myself feel the pulse for a while until I heard a loud explosion far off. I jump, fall out of bed, and look around. I see nothing, so I'm fine. I hear the distinct sound of gunshots and screams. I panic and lie down, but I continue to look around. I hear an elevator coming down, look down, and stand up because I see Dr. Emma Russell and Madison Russell, who I know are with Monarch.

I walk over to the elevator but stop in my tracks, seeing the armed men behind them who are not monarchs. I stand still and watch them raise their guns at me.

"Don't shoot!" I put my hands up protectively.

"Who are you?" Emma Russell asks.

"I am Y/N L/N I was brought here because Godzilla was searching for me, I was told, and so I needed to be brought somewhere safe to be sheltered. I had a connection with her, and it was causing lots of problems," I say, walking backward slowly for safety.

I watch her nod, and the guards lower their guns, making me let out a sigh of relief. I watch them and then notice a man behind them. He looks older and like someone from the military.

"Well, Y/N, L/N I am Alan Jonah, and you're just a civilian in a Monarch facility; there's no use in killing you." Alan Jonah said to me

"Come along, everyone; it's time to begin." He commanded, which made me move to the side as many of the soldiers moved and started to drill the thing in the ice.

I sit down and watch them drill this thing out. I am at least happy that I am not dead, but I may be a hostage. I decided to walk over to Emma because she was opening a device I'd never seen before. I read a label on it saying that it was something called ORCA. I've never heard of it before, but I can ask questions later.

The pulse I was feeling earlier from the creature in the ice seems stronger now. It must be awakening because they are drilling it out. I waited until they finished, and I saw Dr. Emma and the guards all heading out when a man came down in the elevator. Mark Russell, whom I recognize as Madison Russell's father,

I was going to walk over to him, knowing he was truly acquainted with Monarch, when I was pulled away towards the elevator by Alan Jonah. I didn't try to resist for fear of being shot. We left the base, and I was dragged to the helicopter outside, where I was with 2 soldiers, Emma, Madison Russell, and Alan Jonah. I watch Emma press buttons on the ORCA device, then I watch the ice.
