A Beach Day

Location... Miami Beach, Florida

Time... 1800

Year... Current

Y/N POV

It was a good plan for me to go to the beach today. The day is nice and sunny in Miami Beach. It was a warm 90 degrees, making it not too hot for a beach trip. I also got dragged here by my best friend Katherine because she didn't want to go alone.

It has been a bit since we have had a hangout. We both love the beach, so we decided that it would be a great idea to go to the beach together. I am glad she did convince me to come along, though I do have one problem though. The problem is, what if the girls show up? This may be a problem because I am on a crowded beach with my best friend, who I've told nothing about the kaijus yet.

"Y/N! Are you gonna swim or what?" I hear Katherine yell,‌

"Yeah, I'm coming," I yell back

I stand up and jog over to the shore, where I walk in to the ocean to join Katherine in the warm water. The water here is warm year round. I walk out to where she is, where the water is around 4 feet deep, reaching my mid-chest. I playfully splash her, and we have a splash fight for a little. We then just talk and float in the nice water, enjoying each other's company.

I had my eyes closed and was floating peacefully when Katherine asks me a question.

"Hey Y/N," she says

"Yeah, Kathy?" I respond,

"Are you doing any dating?" She says calmly.

"That's random but no, I'm not dating anyone," I respond, a bit confused why she would randomly ask

"Still single as always," she says playfully joking

"You know it," I respond

We laugh at each other's jokes, finding our fun great. I then stand up in the water. We drift a little further out and the water up to below my neck. I start splashing at Katherine again, having a fun little water fight again.

As we splash, there is a minor tremor shockwave. I am not bothered by it, and we continue to splash water at each other. As we do this, there is another tremor, this one worse than the last. I then turn to the beach and notice a huge female robot kaiju like thing coming out of the ground.

I quickly grab Kathy. I start running out of the water and away from the thing. As we run, I notice the thing was just causing problems and wrecking the area. We thankfully quickly we get to my car and got ready to drive. As I start the car, I hear a loud, familiar roar and see Godzilla emerging from the water.

I begin to drive when a stomp from Godzilla nearby flips my car over on its roof. II get tossed around a little and quickly unbuckle and help Kathy unbuckle as well, and we crawl out of the flipped car. I help her to her feet, and we run through the parking lot, avoiding other people who are escaping.
