Y/N was confused, wondering why the higher-ups had called them. Despite their unease, they smiled faintly.

Y/N hated the higher-ups. They acted as though they held all authority in heaven. Y/N firmly believed that strength, not rank, should dictate who ruled in the Creator's absence.

"Yo~ What do you guys need me for?" Y/N asked casually, their gaze sweeping over the room. Present were their love, Azrael, Seraphim, and... Remmy? The young angel looked terrified, sweating nervously. Was this new angel afraid of something?

One of the higher-ups sighed heavily and got straight to the point.
"Y/N, the Honored One, have you been having an affair with the Demon King himself?"
Y/N's eyes widened as they tried to process the accusation. Their voice faltered, unable to form words.

"I saw it!" Remmy suddenly pointed at Y/N, her tear-streaked face trembling with apparent fear.
"They kissed Lucifer!" she cried out, voice shaking.

Y/N stood frozen. They recalled Lucifer touching them, but an affair? That was absurd. However, Y/N didn't look scared. Instead, they looked annoyed.

"First of all, kid, where's your proof? Did you follow us to hell?!" Y/N asked, voice sharp with irritation.

It was Sera who answered, her tone calm. "She followed us out of curiosity. We can't fault a new angel for being curious."

Y/N's eyes widened in disbelief. Sera had sided with this child? Remmy sniffled, pressing herself closer to Sera for comfort.

Y/N turned to Azrael, voice soft and pleading. "My love, you won't believe them, right?"

Azrael stepped forward, taking Y/N's hand gently. "I will always side with you, my love." His reassuring words made Y/N smile. But their moment was short-lived.

The higher-ups spoke again. "Tomorrow, the council will convene to judge you. Sera, Remmy, let's go." They left, leaving Y/N stunned. Judged? Them?

With a shaky breath, Y/N turned to Azrael, their voice breaking. "You'll be there to defend me, right?"

Azrael leaned in, pressing a kiss to their lips. "Of course, my love. I will always stand by you."

--------------------

Azrael wasn't there.

Y/N searched the crowd desperately, but Azrael was nowhere to be found. Their heart broke in silence.

"Azrael... where are you?" Y/N whispered as the trial began.

The higher-ups ignored their pain. "Remmy, show us the proof of what you claim to have seen."
Remmy nodded and summoned a light. It projected an image-a misleading angle that made it appear as though Y/N and Lucifer had kissed.

"It's obvious we're just hugging," Y/N said, their tone bored.

"You may speak only when permitted," one of the higher-ups snapped.
Y/N's jaw clenched as Remmy continued her act, sniffling and trembling.

"I overheard them plotting," Remmy sobbed. "Y/N said they would take over heaven because they were strong enough. Then they kissed Lucifer. I'm certain of it. Y/N is a threat to all of us!"
Gasps echoed throughout the chamber. The higher-ups exchanged looks of disbelief. Even Sera seemed disappointed.

'Don't look at me like that,' Y/N thought bitterly, but they stayed silent.
When permission to speak was finally granted, Y/N stepped forward, their voice calm but laced with fury.

"Remmy, what will you gain by lying?"

The young angel flinched but maintained her facade. "I don't want anything! I just want to protect heaven!" she cried louder, tears streaming down her face.

The higher-ups murmured in agreement, some shaking their heads at Y/N in disappointment.
Y/N's patience snapped. "Me? A threat? Ever since I was created, all I've done is protect heaven. I wrote scriptures to guide human souls here! I worked tirelessly while all of you sat idly by!"

Their outburst was met with silence before they were suddenly bound by divine chains. The holy weapons sapped their strength.

"I'm afraid we must act swiftly. For now, Y/N, you are a threat," Sera said coldly.
Y/N froze. Betrayed.

"A child has filled your minds with lies, and this is how you repay me?!" Y/N screamed, struggling against the chains.
Leonardo, one of the strongest angels, stepped forward and struck Y/N's neck, knocking them unconscious.

When Y/N woke, they were in the prison they had designed. The irony was not lost on them. The room was cold and silent.
Their eyes widened as they spotted Azrael standing in the darkness.

"My love!" Y/N called out, chains clanking as they stumbled forward. Relief filled them until they noticed Azrael's expression.
Hatred.

Azrael's voice dripped with malice. "You look pathetic. That's what you deserve, you cheating liar."

Y/N recoiled in shock. "No... this isn't you!"
Azrael laughed darkly, and their form shifted, revealing Remmy.

"HA! You really are the strongest, aren't you?" she taunted, her red eyes gleaming in the dim light.

"Remmy... don't do this. You're making a mistake," Y/N pleaded.

But Remmy only smirked. "A mistake? No, I've already won. I ruined your life, and now I'll take your place."

Y/N's voice wavered. "Where's Azrael? Where's my love?"

Remmy giggled. "He abandoned you. Isn't it obvious?"

Y/N felt their heart shatter. They sank into silence as Remmy's words became a dull hum in the background.

"I hope you enjoy your last day, Y/N," she said sweetly before leaving.

The next day, the council announced their verdict.
"Y/N, the Honored One, you are sentenced to death for your crimes. You will die by the hands of the seraphim."

Three seraphim stepped forward, their swords piercing Y/N's body. Golden blood spilled to the ground.

Remmy covered her mouth as if in horror, but behind her hands, she smirked. The seraphim removed the heavenly weapons, confident that Y/N was dead. But as they turned their backs, they froze.

Y/N rose.

The crowd gasped. Fear spread through the room like wildfire.

Y/N's e/c eyes shone brightly, their six wings unfurling. "You didn't behead me, and you removed the weapons weakening me. That was your mistake."

The seraphim shivered as Y/N hovered above them.

"Red," Y/N said calmly, releasing a glowing red orb. It struck one of the seraphim, sending them flying. Y/N laughed, looking around at the terrified faces.

"Don't look so scared. You should have known better than to mess with the strongest."
The higher-ups fled, and Y/N turned to the remaining seraphim.

"My dear students," Y/N said softly. "I hope you've learned something today." With that, Y/N spread their wings and let themselves fall into the abyss.

As they descended into hell, Y/N smiled faintly.

' Lucifer, is this how you felt when you fell?'

But unlike Lucifer, Y/N had no one waiting for them below.

They were truly alone.
